Didnt bowl well in the depth and that is the main reason that we got screwed. Elementary mistake of not putting the right amount of fielders in the circle
Afridi also seemed to be acting more of a captain then Yousef
. Our bowling attack doesnt look great atm, Rana is a matchwinner in his own right but when he isnt on song, he can go for plenty. Asif was as usual tidy and decent. Afridi has failed to lead the attack, I was expecting more of him in this series
Gul had a poor penultimate over and couldnt control the runs at the depth. I think we need to replace Gul with Rao, a similar bowler and tidy. Anyone knows why Aamir was missing? Seems injury-related there is no other reason why he isnt in the playing 11. Ajmal was the pick without a doubt.
The batting continues to shock. Akmal and Butt had poor decisions and the latter was a true shocker and might have made the difference in the game. Butt looked in good touch and his dismissal really cost us. Younis finds innovative ways of getting out. Yousef falls identically to the way he did in the 1st match. Alam and Akmal staged a fightback, but Akmals dismissal highlighted his problems outside off stump. He plays the late cut a bit too late IMO. Alam's dismissal was disappointing. A lapse of concentration cost us. Afridi and Rana played strongly in the end, but even during the Power play it was unlikely we would take the game.
The 3-0 result can not be fully justified. We played well in parts but to win teams have to be in the top of their game at the important ones. We just werent good enough in the end
