at least now we have our most consistent opening pair in some sort of form. Imran Farhat and Salman Butt. Even if they can see off the new ball and give us consistent 30-40 run starts it should be good enough. Younis will sorely be missed.

Farhat, Butt, Younis, Yousuf, Umar, Misbah, K. Akmal, Mohd. Aamer would not have been that bad... but without Younis it leaves the Fawad Alams and Faisal Iqbals some huge shoes to fill in....

I like the new strategy that Butt and Farhat have adopted in the 2nd innings of the 3rd Test against NZ. They are just wearing down the bowlers and not over playing their shots. I just hope its not a one innings wonder and then they are back to their old ways of pretty 20s and 30s. Will be interesting to see if they can keep this concentration at the start of day 4

What my six sense is saying that a new star will born for Pakistan in Australia,may be Fawad jump on the opportunity and become a new star.Fawad has potential and its matter of opportunities which can make him a big player.

one thing the openers still need to do is putting bad bowls for boundaries,they were doing in the first 30 overs but later they were to slow.I know it was a hard time for them but in order to score consistently you need to put bad bowls.

What the hell. PCB are sending in Muhammad Sami . He has a bowling average of 51 after 33 matches. He has got only 81 wickets. I have no idea why he got selected. Another poor selection by PCB. They are trying to weaken the bowling to the level of our pathetic batting. :

This is like an ICL reunion in Pak team..

It really helps to have connections when playing for Pakistan.

There are so many other deserving bowlers that could be given a chance, but we go back to the failure known as Sami.

His record speaks for itself, he doesnt have too many variations, and TEST cricket is not where he belongs. Oh Brother

Md.Sami!!! The worst selection ever. Its like India going back to picking Agarkar again! At least Agarkar won us a test in Australia but I agree with what everyone else has said. Sami is the worst possible option to go back to.
