Pakistan Tour of Australia 2009/10

Mark Butcher just made the point that he's never seen Ponting with an arm guard before. Not sure how accurate that is though.

Thats worse than getting done in by Ajit Agarkar at home in a Test match (6/74 anyone)! Loving this.

On an other note, when Aussies and Englishmen in the forum come together to do India bashing, I would`nt mind Indians and Pakistani members getting together to do some Aussie/English bashing once in a while.;)

Bring it

I have arrived :D

Let's start. Australia, you SUCK.

:laugh

Pakistan hasn't batted yet. I would not start jumping around just yet. For all we know there is a good chance that Pakistan won't capitalise on this.

ponting also got out pulling to aamer in the last test now I think about it. so 3 mis-cued pulls in 5 tests.

and he's chopped a couple of short balls on to his stumps recently. he chopped on roach, and broad in the final ashes test. and had to retire hurt against roach.

definitely can't play the short ball like he used to from the looks of that.

This is like saying Jayasuriya should abandon cut short as he gets out caught at third man.

Ponting is still best player of pull and hook.

Its more to do with the confidence of pulling a short rather than lack of it.

Rain will hardly matter in this match. If Pakistan keep their reputation alive then the game will need only 8 legal sessions.

great! Rain's here! so there is never a bad day for Australia ever is there!! something HAS to go their way!! :D

Reminds me of the 94/95 test at the SCG, day 2 it was overcast and the Poms skittled us, took Taylor and McDermott to save that innings.

Actually I was kinda hoping we'd get bowled out ASAP so we could cash in on the bowler friendly conditions. Rain kills that plan... the forecast is supposed to be good tomorrow, so there'll be less cloud cover to exploit.

I think as soon as either Hauritz/Mitch gets out, Ponting should tell the remaining guy to throw the bat hard, then when he's out declare at 9 down. Send the Pakis a message that the Aussies badly want a bowl. It's not good #10 & #11 blocking when there are perfectly good bowling conditions to exploit.

Mark Butcher = Smart. Ponting hasn't worn an arm guard until last Test match to protect his elbow. This would be only his 2nd Test match wearing one.

The covers are coming off :)

Nice! And I need to eat some words about the Pakistani bowling attack, although they were assisted by some poor shots but their fielding and catching has been much better! Well done them I say! brilliant comeback by Sami!:)
