Gayle realised the importance of big total with bowlers like R.P.Singh in the team and he got a total that practically no team can get to even if RP bowls.RCB should be happy because they did not have Sreesanth in their team, else RP+Sree;well Pune could have stolen an easy victory :lol

Well mate he has conceded under 6rpo in the last two matches. And it was not Rp's poor bowling show which forced gayle to go all guns blazing rather it was the weather what made him to score at that brisk rate, since runrate would have come into play he just did it for the sake of the team and not for the sake of the bowler

Rohit captains, Munaf and Bumrah out, Ojha and Chahal in. Oh, and Mitchell Johnson replaces Ponting.

Knight Riders are giving Iqball Abdulla a go as well, guy who I feel never did anything wrong to be dropped or left out, IIRC, he won the "Rising Star Award" aka the Emerging Player of the Year in 2011.

The pitch surely is gonna turn a lot and so these changes. 3 spinners playing in both teams.

I enjoyed Gayle's Gangnam dance more than his batting. I mean, his batting was so unreal and looked like I was watching a video game where the controller was an expert at it.

The Bangalore pitch needs some tweaking. Its too flat.

I agree, Brendan McCullum did his thing in Bangalore as well. IMO, that wicket played a bigger part in the 265 than any brilliant batting of sorts, don't get me wrong, Gayle still had to go out there and do it.

Now, unless this is some sort of weird Kolkata wicket that will nullify the efforts of Narine, Senanayake and Abdulla, KKR should win from here!

I have a feeling Mumbai will pull this one off.... I want them too, also! I liked the way Ponting dropped himself and let Rohit Sharma captain (or is Ponting injured or something?).

I'd want KKR to lose as well, they play us on Sunday ya' know. ;)

He dropped himself, yeah.

I'm really not one to bitch and moan about umpiring decisions, but ffs man, the standard of umpiring in this IPL has just been appalling. :facepalm

Mumbai win, and I think a lot of the credit in terms of the batting effort must go to Dwayne Smith, what a start he gave them, just tremendous!

Oh, and, many congrats to our own Lord Rohit Sharma. :D

Well done Mumbai! Good that you kept KKR's losing run extended for one more game. And Rohit Sharma deserved that captaincy cap. Its not like he has been made captain of the Indian team. He has been consistent in the IPL, and he deserves that leadership step-up. Him and Karthik are serious captaincy contenders for MI in the upcoming seasons. Karthik can be a good captain too. He has done well for TN before as captain. I think he once won the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy or something (it was a T20 tournament, I guess) for Tamil Nadu.

I'm quite enjoying Kolkata struggling because Otago's three best players are contracted to them (B McCullum, Lee, and ten Doeschate), so if they qualify for the Champions League Otago are going to be screwed.

I was expecting DK to be captain in the absence of Ricky.
Nonetheless, Rohit did a great job. Harbhajan screwed his plans in 1st over though. :p

Ultimately, we won at the Eden Gardens and gave a nice gift to Sachin Sir. 160 was looking like a huge total but good to see our batsmen targeted Senanayake and Abdullah. Well played Dwayne Smith finally. :clap

The unsung hero is Ambati rayudu. He must be there for slogging in every match. :cheers

Actually that one six Bhajji hit turned the game.He should actually be the hero of the match yesterday. If he dint hit that six, well MI could have easily lost it.Bhatia is an intellegent bowler.Rayudu was slightly edgy yesterday too,so if that was just 1 or 2,may have well KKR won it.

I heard SHIKHAR DHAWAN is returning back, that will bolster SRH batting tonight. :cheers

Probably Darren Sammy will make IPL debut in the absence of Thisarra Perera

I am cheering for CSK tonight but I also want Mishra, Steyn and Dhawan to perform well. :thumbs:thumbs:thumbs
