@Yudi:You seriously want to take IPL as a base to select National team mate?Ashwin was the highest wicket taker in the last test series.
Whereas Ojha's performance was bad in the last series and you want him.No bowler in India has performed well in that case, but you targetting Ashwin is pretty obvious is because of your hatred towards Tamilians. Its pretty evidant in every post you do,even i hate Hindiwalas on a personal note but do i target them?I support cricketers based on what they are and not from the region they come from. You irrespectively hate all Tamilians and this shows your hatred. With such a hatred why do you seriously want to post in a public forum mate?

I don't hate Tamilians, why would I hate them? Yes, I hate the CSK franchise to some extent, but not Tamilians. And it's not that I completely hate CSK, I love the likes of Raina and Badri.

And you are talking about the last test series, whereas the CT is a OD tournament to be held in England. And we all know how bad Ashwin's performance has been overseas.
More importantly, we will need a leg spinner on English pitches. I don't see Chawla being selected again, he has got enough chances, so Mishra becomes to automatic choice.

No doubts about Mishy,he is a good bowler for sometime and is handy with the bat but Ashwin is surely ahead of Ojha. You can maybe say a left arm spin variety but wont make much of a difference in England conditions. So Mishra and Ashwin,a leggie and an offie, that will be nice along with the likes of Bhuvi and others.I also wish Irfan comes back soon.

Mishra is a very good bowler but Ashwin should be dropped based on IPL? Mishra always does well in IPL and he is the second or third highest wicket taker in IPL history but that does not mean he is better. Mishra did well in 2011 IPL edition and we took him to England alongside Harbhajan. He got 2 games after Bhajji was injured and he was absolutely horrible, taking 3 wickets at an average of 106. Mishra better batsman than Ashwin? LOL There is a difference between slogging the ball around in IPL and playing in tests. Yes, Mishra surely knows how to bat but saying that he is better than Ashwin is an exaggeration especially when we know that how technically strong Ashwin is in the batting. Already judging Ashwin on 1 overseas tour? We always say that Harbhajan has done well against Australia. He hasn't, especially in Australia. On 2007-08 tour, he took 8 wickets in 3 matches. In the 2011-12 Australian tour, Ashwin took 9 wickets in 3 matches. So, Ashwin has better record than Harbhajan in Australia with bowl and with bat, too. So, I really don't see any reason of dropping him.

Mohit Sharma surely looks good but it does not mean we should bring him in Champions Trophy. As the posts before pointed out, Praveen Kumar will be very handful in English conditions. We already have Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Others will be Umesh Yadav, Shami Ahmed and Vinay Kumar/Ishant Sharma. They might even select only 4 fast bowlers. I have a feeling that they might go for Vinay Kumar because he has bowled well at the death overs in IPL and death bowling has been a worry for India. In spin department, I expect Ashwin and Mishra to be there.

Ojha has always been the underrated bowler and he showed what he can do in England test series. However, I don't think we will see him in Champions trophy squad because we alredy have a left arm spinner in Jadeja. I also think Ojha is more suited to the long version of the game and Ashwin and Mishra will do better in shorter format.

Mishra the batsman is far better than Ashwin. He also has a double ton in FC cricket, surely has the temperament.
And are you seriously writing off Mishra just on his performance in two international games?

Having a double century does not make him a better batsman than Ashwin. Mishra has played 121 FC matches with 1 century at an average of 22 and Ashwin has played less than half of that matches(51) with 3 centuries at an average of 36. I have seen both Mishra and Ashwin bat and can safely say that Ashwin has far better technique than Mishra. I really fail to understand how you are saying Mishra is a better batsman?

Mishra has played 13 test matches at a bowling average of 43 and Ashwin has played 16 matches with a bowling average of 28. In the 10 matches that they both have played in the subcontinent, Mishra has taken 36 wickets and Ashwin has taken 66 wickets. Amit Mishra has taken 7 wickets in 3 matches overseas, Ashwin has taken 9 wickets. So there is a little bit more then 2 matches to write him off.

I have never seen him hate Tamil people. Let's not get into all that regional hatred thing.

Against anyone being selected for any squad on IPL performances alone(unless ofc, it's a T20 squad), paired up with their First-class/List A performances and I might just be on board.

----------

Now, to the IPL, Shikhar Dhawan + the Sunrisers bowling = a playoff spot?

He always targets TN players and Chennai,we had a bitter chat in facebook,it was based on that. But yes,its over,we have come out of that.
Anyways i officially apologise to you YUDI :(

Unchanged we are with 4 all-rounders again... whatever, as long as we're winning, I could care less.

186/4 we finish with, 100 off that coming from Suresh Raina ofc, but if anyone can fail to defend 186 it's us with our 4 all-rounders policy.

We won comfortably in the end, although we gave 15-20 runs too many. 7 wins in a trot, equalling RCB's 2011 IPL record. CSK rolling on!! I want a Top of the table finish this time. Two cracks at the final, hope they get it!

wow what a batting from ab devilliers dinda had no clue what so ever were to bowl. :lol today rcb proved that even gayle fail we got other player who can post a big total.
