Chris Morris is from RSA and he looks to be a fine bowler and a reliable batsman as they say.His fielding is good too.

Wickets in hand punjab would have won that i think hussey should have look to build a partnership with miller

Yes bang on and i would like to add one more point there. Not every year,IPL must be played 2 years once and it must be played in different countries in rotation.I enjoyed the 2009 IPL in SA very much actually. The nature of wickets there and people cant just clobber you for a six every ball.Just imagine IPL being played in Australia,it will be nice to see Gayle clear MCG and not this Chinnaswamy.Chinnaswamy looks as small as my backyard.

Yes, the Chinnaswamy is quite small. Given that the IPL is an Indian property, it would be hard to move it elsewhere unless some major issue props up Maybe next year seeing as the General Elections could be held during that time.

Another suggestion could be to have 3 stadiums under each team and rotate the matches there-spreading the game. A few international locations could be brought into the game that way.

E.g-
KKR could play a couple of games in Dhaka or Chittagong.
Sri Lanka could host a few. So can the Emirates. The longest flying time that any team would undergo would be 2.5 hours which is equivalent to a Chennai- Delhi- Mohali route.

How exactly would you split 9 teams into 2 groups? :p

Combine Pune & Delhi into 1 team. As it is they languish at the bottom. We might have a better performance from them if they were to play together. :D

From what I have heard, the IPL will be introducing yet another team next year. Given the possibility of fresh auctions+ one more team, the number of games will substantially increase to a whopping 90 odd. In such a case, dividing them into groups of 5 each will be a better proposition.

Meh, rather just terminate Pune alone.

CSK bat, Nannes out, Morkel in. Not happy with that whatsoever, a bowler of Nannes' stature and class deserved more time, maybe they felt they rushed him back from injury, maybe, I hope.

Pune Warriors is such a strange team, who plays well only against top teams. They already beaten CSK & RR and today they have started good too against CSK at Subrato Roy Sahara Stadium.

My prediction - PWI will beat only top 4 teams (CSK / RR / MI / RCB) at least once in league phase, will lose to other 5 teams twice. :D

164-3 we finish with, and while some might put it all down to the master that is Dhoni, I say the partnership between Raina and Badrinath played as big a part.

A true top team vs bottom team match that, easy as can be.

What a find Mohit Sharma's been for us though, doesn't bowl at the death, but damn good up front.

I am impressed with the way Mohit Sharma has played up. If he can keep this up, we can even contemplate taking him to England for the Champions trophy when conditions will be favorable. Bhuvneshwar, Mohit, Yadav and Ishant can be our fast bowling attack. Getting rid of Dinda is important.

You want Mohit in the Indian team for CT and we will have a group of jokers saying "N.SRINIVASAN effect" and trash our lovely Super Kings Team.Do you really need that? And i personally feel its too early to bring in Mohit in Indian colours. We did that to Gony, what happened? We did that to Awana, what happened?

Let them say whatever they want. Dogs keep barking, and a dog's tail can never be straightened. Mohit to me looks a bowler who can move the ball well and in conditions like England, he will be useful. He has fast medium pace (in the 130's) like Bhuvaneshwar. But I said if he keeps this performance up in the remainder of this tournament, he can be considered. If you consider Dinda as a backup bowler, Mohit can be a better backup than Dinda.

Dinda?Seriously?Well i can very well play with 10 players in the team rather than having that useless guy anywhere around.I dont know why and how Dada backs him up so much!He has been a pathetic bowler not just now but right through. The rare occasional yorkars he bowls cant justify him to be a bowler.I would rather having the experienced Ajit Agarkar in Dinda'S place.

If IPL performances are to be considered, then I strongly feel that Ashwin should be dropped for the Champions Trophy and Mishra should get a game. Ashwin has been terrible in ODIs, and he was awful in England too. Amit Mishra (a wrist spinner) and Pragyan Ojha (a finger spinner) shall make a good combo.

And some supporters of Ashwin always back his batting, but they can't do so now because Mishra can bat, and in fact he bats better than Ashwin.

Mohit Sharma doesn't deserve a place in the side right now. Too early to decide. If some young blood is needed, we need to take someone who performed well in the Ranji games held recently.
BTW Praveen Kumar should also be selected. He can seriously swing it well, and will be very useful in England.

From the above discussion, I would say that its too early to pick up Mohit Sharma in the Indian side. I am not saying this because he plays for CSK. Let him play domestic cricket fore 2 more years. We have enough options.

Mandeep Singh also impressed everyone with his batting, who plays for KXIP. But he also needs more domestic experience to come at International level.

I would rather like to see Bhuvneshwar-Ishant-Praveen Kumar-Vinay Kumar-Yadav combo at Champions Trophy.

In England, we don't want more than 2 spinners. So I would like if Mishra gets chance. Ashwin will anyway retain his place. But no to Bhajji or Chawla please. We have SIR RJ too as support. :cheers
