South Africa in England

Yeah by the BBC. So why aren't they doing it this year and yet some people are blaming Sky?

And it's still a warm up game.
I said, the BBC don't want it because it is right in the middle of the Olympics.

There's loads of BBC channels and they've got interactive. The Ireland game two years ago was on some BBC Ireland or something at the back end of the Sky channels so they could have done something like that again. Yet Sky still gets the blame. It's a friendly. I'm not gonna lose any sleep because I won't be able to watch England make a meal out of beating Scotland and winning by 4 wickets.

Yes but BBC Northern Ireland is the channel that all of the Irish people get on BBC One. The game would have been on BBC Scotland, which is basically BBC One so it will be showing the Olympics. They are literally using all of their BBCi services to cover it. There is no way thre BBC could show it.

I'm not blaming Sky, my Sky Plus HD box is my god.

That game, at The Oval, ended in defeat! Wright made a lower order half century but England lost.

That does not count as a useful knock because it ended up on the losing side !;)

And the fact that 30 runs were added in the last 5 deliveries! We only won with 3 deliveries to spare too.

Why does every broadcasting coperation think that we would rather watch drugged up atheletes in a light smog coating than cricket

That's the wrong attitude. Not all of the athletes are on drugs, and if they are they'll be caught. The Olympics are on the A list anyway, they MUST be shown on terrestrial television.

Sky had first refusal anyway.

I agree - i apoligise to those atheletes who are not on drugs indeed i'm very impressed that the olympics has't been hit by a "major doping controvosey"

Slightly off topic I dare say! But anyway I'd laugh my nackers off if Phelps tested positive.

Good warm up for the boys today. Bresnan bowled well as did Anderson and Flintoff. Patel seemed solid as well. Prior seems to have had an excellent day behind the stumps as well.

I can't win really can I?

On a brighter side of the news i found this browsing Cricinfo.

Seeing as England dropped Geriant Jones for his batting when he was picked as a Wicket keeper, and they criticised him for every error he ever made when picked on batting merrit, it would seem Gojo has tried a new approach in trying to get back in the England side
