Sri Lanka in West Indies

Well done to Silva first of all, he has really created a headache in the Mahela's head now, him or Samaraweera, only one man in my opinion. Great innings, not only did he save his team from a collapse, but he got them to a good total too.

yea he played really well and showed to everyone that he deserves that spot in the XI, i don't think that it should be a debate over who get to play for the team. Samaraweera is a good batsman but Silva is younger and has a chance to improve and become a full time member of the middle order.

Vandort
Warnapura
Sanga
Mahela
Dilshan
Silva
and if they decide to play Sanga as a batsman than Kaushal Silva the 21 year old under 21 WK who is a better batsman than Prasana.

Yeah, I heard about Kaushal, but I'd still be inclined to play Prasanna, because to me, he is probably the best wicketkeeper in the world, and SL's batting line up is strong enough as it is.

Silva would come on ahead of Dilshan as well, he's much more controlled.

Well WI have lost the wickets at wrong time.
Its all up on Bravo now. They are just 68 runs away.
Anything lead over 100 will help them.

sadly i think that this will end up as a draw unless the Windies pace bowlers can bowl Sri Lanka out for cheap in the 2nd innings.

Its ok If it will result in draw.but I am afraid If Srilanks bat well in 2nd inning then you never know Murli.
It will be tough for WI to bat last on Day 4 and 5.
Better Bravo and Smith gets them lead around 100.It certainly will help them.
Also Its depend on rain now. There will be prediction of rain for tomorrow also.

bad end of the day for the Windies, especially the late wicket! sri lanka are beginning to look good for a win i think, im really likeing the pitch for test cricket, lots in it for the bowlers but if the batsman playes correctly then there is runs from them.
Ive got a feeling that the Sri Lanka batsman will get a decent score to bowl at in their second innings, and the pitch will be set for Murali to bowl the Windies out, i honestly just dont think the West Indian bowlers are consistant enougth to bowl out the Sri Lankans below 300 twice, but id like to be proved wrong, Edwards shold be playing every test match, since the series against England last year he looks like hes got a sparke to his bowling, and if he can keep his level consistantly high then he is dangerous! big day tomorrow, if Sri Lanka win the day then the test match is theres for the taking

32/3 Sri Lanka is, West Indies need to prevent big partnerships and bowl Sri Lanka out today.

Its party time.
Thats the WI which was in 80s.
All bowlers on fire now.Srilanka is struggling real bad.
What an absolute example of aggression?
Wrap up the inning fast.

32/4...

Sanga gone now, good persistent line from Powell. keep it going boys, Fidel has really been the difference in these two teams, his pace and bounce have troubled the batsman and he has been accurate too.

Ya Powell and Edwards bowling nice at the Moment.
I still feel Gayle should have bring his best bowler Taylor in.
Just couple of wickets here and WI will win with Plenty of Confidence.
WI should not let any partnership build now..

yea except the problem is Dilshan and Silva, Dilshan doesn't put any pressure on himself and just plays his sots, he picked up 14 runs of his 1st over at the crease and than when Silva comes in he can form partnerships with the tailenders.

Ya WI need couple of wickets now.
Pressure is easing very fast. That was awesome six by Dilshan without any efforts but thats how he plays.
Let Taylor bowl couple of overs. He'll find something.hope so..

Yea he has been the man as far as West Indies bowling is concerned always gets the big wickets. They have 57 overs left in the day and they shouldn't need half of that to bowl Sri Lanka out, if they can get one of the two that are at the crease now the tail shouldn't be that hard to remove. I am looking at a target of less than 150 to chase, and they have played Murli well so they should be able to chase it down but the bowlers must keep on the pressure after lunch.

Ya agree I also love to chase anything below 150.
Mainly because you never know murli?
I think WI will wrap up the remaining in this session.I don't see any batsman who can go for long now except C Silva,.
