Damn, that Carter dude totally make Middlesex lose. Would have been funny to see England beaten.

England deserved the win in the end, we bowled beautifully, especially Freddie and Broad. Broad's really showed his talent in the past few months, he was excellent in the SA ODi series, and has continued his good form here. We batted poorly, but it's an awful pitch. I'm really disappointed with the pitch actually, I was hoping that we'd have a good quick batting pitch to suit everyone, but we've got a crap, slow, spinners wicket, blatently designed to suit the 2 West Indian spinners Benn and Mohammed.

I was a little disappointed with Jimmy Anderson's first 2 overs, he looked to have lost his rhythm completely, and what's with his hair ffs? He normally has awesome hair, but he blatently needs a major haircut, not good enough Jimmy.

KP's Adidas equipment looked lovely as well, those Adidas Gloves are fb. Seems Freddies joined Puma as well, bit disappointing, I'd have liked to have seen him with Adidas, but it never looked likely tbh.

At least we showed T & T how to deal with Carter. Middlesex would be a lot better off having Joyce opening and Malan up the order slightly. He's a class act and could be key against T & T's spinners.

Malan was bloody brilliant, I knew I'd forgotten to mention someone in my post. He really showed the form that gained the attention of the England selectors. He looks a real talent, he's really been the only player, apart from Joseph to look at ease on the pitch and dominate the bowling. He looked really good last night, the six of Pietersen where he came down the pitch and smashed him straight as a die down the ground was brilliance. He's going to have a big future.

I saw most of the match and was quite disappointed overall by both sides. The fielding on both sides was unacceptable; I'm unsure if it was the lights or what, but the Kartik and Strauss drops were both unacceptable. Carter may have been economical, but he looked all over the place. Jimmy Anderson looked underdone and England were lucky they had the superstars (pun intended) of Broad and Flintoff to bail them out with the ball. Sidebottom looked okay with the ball, he was running in and bowling like he had a point to prove. The pace of all the England bowlers was quite low, tbh, and it could show a lack of match fitness. I'm sure I heard that they only arrived in Antigua on Saturday, which is quite the contrast to the Superstars who have been training for months.

These pitches really have began to ruin the contest. None of the four sides have appeared ready for the slow tracks and slow tracks are really not conducive to exciting cricket, much less exciting T20 cricket - especially when the tracks do not produce wickets.

Interestingly enough, the England bowlers were at 130-140kph; which was, in retrospect, near enough what you'd expect from them. That does mean that Powell and Taylor have really been cranking it up as of late - always heartening to see West Indian rapids.

Sidebottom looked really good last night I thought. He's clearly worked hard since he lost his Test spot, he looks lean and he looks fit, shame the same can't be said about his new haircut. The pitch is awful, you'd think they'd want the pitch to create as much entertainment as possible, considering this Stanford Super Series has been created to generate interest in cricket once more, yet even I was bored by the end of a Twenty20 match. They really need to do some work on that pitch, it's been shocking in the first 2 matches, and is only going to get worse.

Stephen Finn looked good for Middlesex with the ball. He looked to have some good pace, and did ocassionally get the ball to bounce nicely. Broad was the pick of the bowlers though, bowled with great control, decent pace and extracted some good bounce from the track.

LOL at Strauss' catch as well, was brilliant, how he got away with blaming that on the lights I don't know. England's fielding was good I thought Manee. The only downside was the few dropped catches, mainly very tough ones, especially Collingwood's. At least England managed to actually catch the ball though, better than the other 3 teams have managed.

Jimmy really needs a hair cut before the next game as well.

Felt sorry for us (Middlesex) last night, especially Malan. But we (England) bowled well, Flintoff and Broad. We (Middlesex) bowled well, gotta feel sorry for Kartik, great spinner but not in the India squad.

Just finished watching the highlights (went to bed when Middlesex were 68/3). Dawid Malan was superb. The lofted cover drive he played oozed class and he is clearly a very intelligent player - he has a bright future. Not much more I can say, England never looked fearful that they were going to lose. It was close, but I think we always felt we were going to win, and we did. Flintoff must be the best death bowler in the world.

As for tonight, it is going to be really close. I can't wait to see Malan up against bowlers like Ravi Rampaul. What a battle that is going to be. Trinidad & Tobago's strength is in their bowling, Middlesex's strength is in their batting. Could be a cracker.

Luke Wright surely? He's batting at 8, so not batting, and he doesn't bowl. I don't see why it has to be one of the seamers to be dropped. I'd drop Wright personally.

Middlesex getting cleaned up here. Malan will save the day though. Legend.

Edit: Malan's gone :( Now upto the impressive Morgan to save the day. Middlesex have some top batting talent atm, Strauss and Shah are already England players, and then guys like Malan and Morgan are on the England fringes, with Dexter having alot of potential. Look a good side, just a shame they're not showing it tonight, but it is an awful pitch. Kartik and Udal will enjoy this.

This pitch is awful, it would be alright if teams were actually taking 10 wickets on it. If the sides could catch these would be low scoring.

But teams are struggling to score, that extra hitter down the order could be vital. Plus he should be batting above Patel anyways.

Didn't realise Dexter could hit out like this either.

good win for T&T. excellent stuff from Ramdin and the younger Bravo. Good bowling by Rampaul and Stewart. I wouldn't mind if the WI gave Stewart a go in a few ODIs.
