Unfortonatly I couldn't watch this as I have a nose injury. Been a bad week, I still can't breathe properly. Pathetic. We are the better team and I damn well know it. We were just rusty. Congrats Sri Lanka uoi just played better on the day. We'll never have to play that chucker Murili ever again which is great. No Jaysuriya either.

The final place meant mroe to us the Sri Lanka, and thats all there was to play for, a final spot. Only 1 teams going to win. Australia won't lose. SL arn;t going to win it, at least if we were on our A game we had a shot. Bad timing, we were hot for the first bunch of games, then had a shocker against SL and AUS and again i nthe semi. Peaked at a bad time.

I'm over cricket. We deserved that win more and didn't get it.

I want to pay tribute to Fleming as captain, for all he;s given us. I'm relived he's keeping playing tests and ODI's but I think giving up the ODI captaincy is a sound move.

Last post here. I need something better to do with my time, and I try and try to stand up for the NZ side, but even so, I still get negative comments from people and harassment. I feel out of place. 2 dickheads in particular I just can't stand how idiotic they are.

You don't think that getting to the final didn't mean netng to the Sri Lankans? Come one. The aussies have one 2 WCs in a row and still they are pumped to make it 3 in a row. Getting to the final means everything to each and every team. Its the world cup. Tough to NZ. One side has to lose. THey weren't on their A game which was a shame. And no NZ didn't deserve to win according to the way they played.

You have to look at the game in a bigger way. It means a lot to a small island that is war torn and tsunami affected. Things like this bring people together and make them happy. Don't demean it by saying it meant more to NZ as opposed to SL.

And really calling murali a chucker is not really going to help anyone. He bowls and its legal so lets get on with it.

Sri Lanka won deservedly both matches against New Zealand. In the first match they chased down the target and now they set a target. And New Zealanders should be proud that their team went into the semi-finals. Many teams aren't there. I feel sorry that Fleming has retired as captain. He is still a good captain, but it seems now he wants to focus on his batting, which off course is his own decision.

Good bye, I plan to drive by Christchurch later this year, beautiful place and Queenstown included. Will be my first visit to South Island. :cool:

Well New Zealand have never won a semi final and Sri Lanka already have a World Cup so you would think the Kiwis would want to win more than Sri Lanka but their batting was poor, and is their major query, shame to see them go, I was hoping to play them in the final, but bring on the second semi now!

Yes, from cricketing perspective Kiwis played poorly and were no match to SL in the end but I already had suspicions knowing there weakness against SL bowlers. It will hurt some while please some, lets just get on with it.

I expected Kiwis to reach finals, but Lankans played better cricket for sure. Its expected in the beginning itself, if Lankans are going to defend anything around 250, their bowlers wud win for them and it happened.

And LBW record of Fleming continues.. If i am right, he has a worst record of 4 LBWs for 0 against Vaas in last 4 games against Lanka(Sorry if i was wrong).. and yesterday, yet another LBW! This is just poor.

Anyways, Lankans reach the final... In another semis, Aus Vs SA.. whoever reach the final ( i majorly believe SA to reach ), Lankans are going to be the main threat for sure. Whichever the team may be ( Sa or Aus )... Vaas,Murali and Malinga are just waiting to hunt the opponents in finals

wow dude you really dent know how to take your teams loss, your probably the biggest sore looser on these forums. every time your team lost a series or a crucial game you would acuse the other team of cheating or blame it on blown calls by the umps. fans like you give cricket a bad name.

Just noticed it.... This isn't the way to treat the man who is giving himself more than 100% for cricket. Did you see the return catch taken yesterday... It was amazing.. especially he is atheletic at this age which is not easy. Moreover, the accuracy which Murali was maintaining is spot on

I agree that Kiwis do have potential... but Lankans look to be a more balanced side in this WCup in all aspects. Also, let Fleming first rectify his poor cricket from being trapped by LBWs.
