West Indies in England

england losing too many wickets here, we need a captains performance from colly

He ran himself out in Australia when we needed him most

What the hell is wrong with our one day teams? We're so good at Test matches and we've just lost another wicket! :noway

This is why i never give up on England :p I still think we're going to win. Go Colly!

What an assault from Collingwood and Yardy, especially Collingwood. 50 runs of the last 3 overs! Two overs to go.

Yardy is now on strike and he practically gave the match away with his 2 couples.

23 runs needed of last over, when Yardy is on strike. I believe the match is over.

West Indies won by 15 runs. But still a good effort by England.

Broad will hit 17 off this ball

Ok he didn't :p we lost but at least we put up a fight, things look promising for the 50 over games imo. Should mean Monty gets a game next time. Its amazing how batsmen can suddenly lose the ability to hit 6's

Yardy looked completley incapable out there. You just knew he wasn't going to hit a six. Still, can't blame him for the top order's collapse. Collingwood's captaincy was a little off but what else would you expect when your first ever game as captain is a Twenty20 match? Besides, he made up for it with his batting. If England don't win tomorrow, then they won't win the ODI series.

Promising? We batted poorly and our bowling was terrible.

We showed some fight and I felt the openers looked a big improvement from the world cup. When chasing 10 an over the battings always going to be prone to a collapse. We know our middle orders strength with Kp and Colly too so i wouldn't consider the batting a worry. The bowling was poor but the point is we know we can do better than that. It was a batsmens pitch and the West Indies took advantage of that. We've also got our best spinner to come into the side.

Prior started well and looked good for a time but got out.
Michael Yardy's selection was poor though he scored useful runs.
England's misery continues :(

Misery? We're on the back of a 3-0 Test series victory and it's only a Twenty20!

I do agree to some extent though, our performance today seemed depressingly familiar.

England got close to a good score, so why is everyone shouting out against it?

ODI cricket is important, whoever says its not are wrong, as to get to the top you need to show that your team can adapt to differnt situations. With the 20/20 world cup round the corner, tomorrow will need to be Englands day, to be honest, i wouldnt have bowled first, i would have batted and showed the West Indies why England are 20/20 specialists (Or are supposed to be, we made the dam variation of the game!) If you bat first get a score of even 160 on the board, the second team having a bat can really slip up, as you have more pressure on you i believe, i think chasing a score is harder than putting on up, although batting first gives you freedom, players like Gayle might have too much :)

He's referring to our odi misery. Apart from the rare highlight, we have been (consistently) poor at ODI's for 15 years

Christ this is only a 20Twenty. The first Shortened game of the summer for some of them. Give them a chance. The beauty of Twenty20 is that anybody on any given day can beat any other side. No matter if they are better or worse than their opposition.
