2007 Twenty20 World Championship

Evidently top 2 from each group go into next round which is divided into two groups that have round-robin play. Then semifinals and then finals.

It is the same as the 50 over WC.
2 teams from each group go thorugh and play the super eights.

india v pak at Durban should be a cracker.
I don`t think we`ll be complaining about empty stadia for that game or this event in general.
A very TV friendly tournament.

No, you're wrong, there is a Super Eight stage but the eight teams are split into two groups of four.

What 30 over WC? He was right, there are two round robin groups (which is the actual word for what the Super 8s were), semis and a final.

eagerly awaiting pakistan vs india
Haha, yeah!

I expect it to be the game with THE best atmosphere, hands down.

Sure, theres England v Australia, but theres nothing better than sitting down and watching Pakistan and India play. The noise level, the atmosphere, you're never tired of it.

Win or lose, Pakistan vs India - the atmosphere of the game just makes you feel happy (if you're a true cricket supporter)

If anyone wishes to dispute my claims, please watch the Pakistan vs India match at Edgbaston during the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy

Maybe for atmosphere, but if you're a true cricket supporter you await Australia v Sri Lanka as the top 2 teams.

Well if you're a true cricket supporter you will even enjoy the match all the kids played today against all their parents in the field behind the house we are staying. :)

Nah, it isn't. Although my post seemed unsure, I did check the ICC website before posting here. ;)

England need to play specialists...our domestic scene has a lot more experience. Right selection and we could win.

With the amount of it we have played in the County game we should win it. yes, I agree we need specialists, chuck out the Bell's and Strauss' won't score very quick runs. Then, just get bowlers that can bowl straight, and we stand a pretty good chance...

actually if you're a true cricket supporter you would rather watch 2 evenly matched teams and not 1 sided matches

sure sri lanka may be up there with australia as the best but when they play each other, australia dont give them a sniff of winning

in this regard,

india vs pakistan always have tight and evenly matched games with the odd 1 sided match every 10-15 matches

Personally, I think England should send a side of specialist of 20Twenty. Mainly because our international season ends only a couple of days before the 20Twenty world cup, so just to rest the likes of Pietersen etc I'd rather send a team of County pro's who've excelled in the game.
Although, I'd use it as a good chance for Flintoff to prove his fitness before winter tours, he wouldn't have to do much bowling if he could, so I think it would be a good opportunity.

My Predictions.
I personally reckon the Aussie's will have it, unless Sri Lanka have one of their days in the final where they just cannot be touched like they occaisionally do.
If we send a team of County pros then I'd give us a good chance, I also think India and Pakistan will be right up there. I just have a feeling.

Lets hope it will be better then the world 07

And I am really looking forward to the pakistan vs india Match

I personally feel this world cup is going to be exciting for the spectators to watch! going to be really thrilling...

india vs pakistan - wow... let me note that down in my calendar. got to catch it for sure. after a disastrous world cup 2007, both teams now have a chance to get back on track!
