Australia Tour Of India 2012/13

Is this Fletcher's last series as India coach? Or do we have to bear with him for some more time? I don't mind Fletcher going out with another loss. Don't want any possibility of him having his time with the team extended due to a good series (with the BCCI, anything is possible).

On a serious note, India would be happy if they come out of this unscathed. One final hurrah for Tendulkar would be good. I wish his career ends like a well planned out movie script, in a GLORIOUS HIGH!

His career has already been tarnished, he is not even in the top 10 ranked batsman in the world he played so poorly against England just of recent, he will fail miserably against the AUS pace attack, he is a liabilitly and his old frail self gives India a good chance of being whitewashed for the series.

----------

The performance of Tendulkar is to be noticed . I have no idea why he is not performing well in the international level ! He is in good form in "domestic" and most of the other Indian batsmen are also good in domestic level. But when it come to International level most of them aren't performing good.Hope that the Indian batsmen could bat well against Aussie .:yes:cheers

----------

Aussie batsmen didn't perform well against spinners in the practice matches. So I hope that Ashwin,Ojha and Bhaji could make a strike against Australian batsmen .:D:D:D:D

Indian domestic cricket is the poorest of all the test playing nations including Zim and Bang, primarily due to the pitches on offer and general lack of bowling talent, so dont be naive and read too much into a century from losers like Sachin, similar thing occur before the Eng series and we all know how that ended. Ojha may be able to work some magic, Harbajan still needs anger management tuition when it comes to playing against the Aussies and Ashwin is a pure waste of a space in the final eleven.

couldn't support you about Sachin as I am a big fan of him sorry about that but I agree with your opinion on Indian domestic games . I never felt so about Ashwin. He is the best to shine on his days .:):cheers

India vs Australia Test Series Betting - Any thoughts guys?

Not watched much Australian cricket recently, will their team be competitive in England this summer?

Apparently they have predicted 2-1 to India. This will be a close series indeed.India are arguably the weakest at home in a decade ,but Australia don't have Hussey and Ponting as well.

I am really looking forward to this series.More so than England. This series just seems more tighter.

Whichever team wins ,there won't be much difference.2-1 to either team really.

Yeah, so true. A couple of poor series is sufficient to tarnish a glorious 24 year career. :thumbs Would you say the same about Hayden or Ponting`s careers also?

I have`nt spoken here for a while. Irrespective of whether Sachin has outlived his shelflife or has a miserable series against Australia, his career won`t be tarnished. The same goes for every other legend that has graced this great game. Yes, maybe its time for him to hang up his boots but he surely has done enough to have secured a glorious career, irrespective of how it ends.

Do you expect him to retire after this series? Would his retirement be based on his performance in this series?

Asking for too much to have Bird instead of Pattinson for this test. Sucks for Khawaja, but Henriques had to be picked ahead of him. Otherwise, I'm happy with the presumed batting order with Watson at 4 as he says.

Why are they fretting only about Dhawan and Vijay for the openers spot ? I'd give Ajinkya Rahane a chance to open the innings as well.

Expected AUS team really. Although in a perfect world, Watson should be opening & Bailey should batting @ # 4.

However no surprises to see the selectors continue to back Cowan, it would always be hard to drop him.

Once Starc/Pattinson/Siddle bowl to potentially, i expect them to be on top on India's batting for a large part of this series.

ENG showed that India's spin threat in home conditions is in decline, but AUS batsmen have a lot of work to do collectively to bat as well as India did, which is why at this early stage i'm not sure how this series will end up. Too close to call still until the first test is played IMO.

Rough call for Bird and I guess Johnson to miss out. I think Bird will be better suited to English conditions though

Good in domestic and bad in internationals? Sounds like Ponting...
