Australia Tour Of India 2012/13

Some might say its early days but the Aussies have done enough now to make it 1-0 in their favor.

Bhuveneswar Kumar is not test material. He lack the speed and his deliveries look toothless with the red ball. It was a mistake picking him for the test team.....

Indian spinners doesn't know the basics of spin bowling that to bowl a tight line and length and try your variations unexpectedly to surprise the batsman. They keep trying all their variations with in the space of 2-3 overs. Ashwin as well as Bhaji needs to develop a stock ball, keep bowling it and try your variations once in a while.

Hi all. Does anyone know where I can get a live radio stream from Australia?

Yet again, we had them on the mat and have let the game slip away from us. Ashwin was the only person who looked like taking wickets. But once he was out of the attack, the Indian bowling was totally exposed. Even India A fared better against the Aussies.

Harbhajan Singh-as of now the selection looks like, lets allow him to play his 100th test. Toothless, hardly expect him to take any wickets.

The big surprise was Jadeja-erred a bit in his line while bowling to Henriques. He did maintain his composure well versus England. If he can just alter his line slightly, will be good for India.

Additionally, I feel we need a leg-spinner in the team as well.

So Bhajji is the one who is having a poor run and what you do is drop Jadeja for Ojha? Confused. Should`nt logic suggest that Bhajji should not be picked. Simple as that. Why are we obliged to pick Bhajji. Looked at some of his stats yesterday. Since 2003, he averages close to 40 and ever since Ganguly gave up captaincy, his average has been close to that 35 to 40. Why should someone who last performed decently in 2003-2005 still be picked? Face it, without Kumble building pressure at the other end, Harbhajan has been mostly toothless outside of some intermittent spells.

Bhajji was supposed to play this test irrespective of how he would perform- 100th test, opposition who got trashed in history because of him, Chepauk- and moreover we are in India. If Bhajji was benched, I'm sure everyone would have gone against management irrespective of how India performs. So, my point here is instead of Jadeja, it would have been better if we had all the three mainline spinners.

Finally! Good performance by Ashwin. Kumar Dharmasena is a legend.

I don't see how you can say that, especially after seeing Jadeja out perform Harbhajan.

----------

Happy with that tbh, 30 runs too many, but I'll take it.

Pattinson has just demolished India's openers

Jadeja's performance is much better than Harbhajan's. If Jadeja can double up that effort while batting, that would be great for the team. Just saw on Star Cricket's scoreboard, RJ is slated to come before MSD which speaks a lot.

I'd say india can stick with jadeja as long as he is contributing a bit, with ashwin at 8 inda can get away with someone that isn't averaging in the 50s at 6.

I noticed tendulkar has been in some domestic form, will be a huge boon if he can kick on because I did rather think of him as deadweight coming into this series and didn't think he'd contribute.

Me neither. But he is batting very confidently and does not look like getting out, we need him all the more now with Pujara giving another bowled to Pattinson, I think he completely missed the line of the ball, it was not too fast, only 137 kmph.
