Australia tour of India (Feb '17/Mar '17)

India have lost just two test series at home in this century !!

AUS 2004
ENG 2012

I think even other countries might have similar record ? Aus or SA or Eng maybe ?
Australia lost three times against South Africa and once against England. England lost against South Africa twice, and against India, Australia and Sri Lanka once.
Pakistan have lost once each against Sri Lanka, England (robbery), South Africa, India and Australia, but they're undefeated since 2007.

Can Australia make it three in 17 years :p

Smith injured ahead of the India tour. Oh dear, this means Australia aren't just going to lose 4-0 (this would've happened with or without Smith) but are going to get absolutely walloped. It's going to be ugly.

Smith said "it's a 7-10 day injury". He won't be missing the India series. You can refer to espncricinfo article.

I want Smith to come India and play tests. So he can see whitewash directly and too under his captaincy. He cannot play outside Australia. He and his team will be dusted.

This is a tad hilarious because Smith is probably the only batsman currently who has performed in all sorts of condition so far. Maybe you don't know this because he doesn't have Cricinfo/Star Sports hyping him up at every possible opportunity.

I'm scared that this injury might become an extended issue and hamper Smith's performance in India. He might still play but not be at 100%. Fingers crossed.

You are over thinking it. Smith said in the report that he can't play first match vs NZ due to injury and as precautionary measure he will skip 2nd match too. Since he is not playing 2 matches, he will skip the series itself. There is still 25 days for series to begin. He will be fit 100%. You can refer to espncricinfo article.

There's confidence and then there's overconfidence. You have the latter.

Well, 2004 isn't happening in a million years. I can guarantee Australia will get hammered 4-0. I would say an innings defeat in at least 3.
