Australia tour of India (Feb '17/Mar '17)

We need to somehow grind it out and get to 150. We never know what might ensue when the Aussies have to get 150+ in the last innings. Someone has to make a career defining innings here. Its not that we do not have batting left. Nair, Rahane, Ashwin and Saha have to eek out another 100 runs at least. Its riveting though.

It's all about mindset. This is a 4 day test wicket, not 5. India have a lot of batting yet and they need to go out there with a mentality of 'scoring' not 'surviving.' I am SORRY but I don't get the Jadeja promotion with the bat and the demotion with the ball. Bizarre!

The test match is riveting in terms of where it's poised. India could do with some luck. Their two most 'in' batsmen have had freak dismissals. That S Smith catch shouldn't be allowed. It's unfair. Take a DEEP HARD look the Indian fielders!

This is where this 'Umpire's Call' is absolutely shit.

I've always been against this too. When there's so much doubt, the benefit of doubt goes to the batsman, right? But just because he was given out (if the technology couldn't assess it, how would the umpire), he has to go.

Not bitching about the outcome, what's given is given. But this "Umpire's Call" will need to be looked at.

Jadeja at no.5? That's bizarre.

Even if you got rid of umpires call that is still out

I get so pissed to see every time Jadeja, the batsman give it away. For team's sake forget the bloody Rajput warrior thing that you need to be aggressive and stuff. If you want to show the aggressiveness while batting, show it with the grit to grind it out, show it by scoring consistent runs because you are god darn capable of doing it. Those 3 triple centuries might have come on the flattest of pitches but he is not the shit batsman he has performed like at the international level. He needs to be darn serious about his batting.

He is a no.7/no.8 who can hit a clean ball. He had no business coming in ahead of Rahane, not when Karun Nair is also playing. It was DAFT!

You're right but I'm talking about how Jadeja has shaped up as a batsman. You tell that he can hit clean. How many times has he upped the runrate or hit his way out of the pressure? What he normally does he hit a spinner to the midwicket or long on fielder more often than not at paltry scores. He is supposed to be a better batsman than Ashwin at least.

Expected India to be in a better position than this... Still we can make it big...

We've been chasing this test match forever now. We've been 50-70 runs behind since Day 1. I fear, that will be the difference at the end of the test match!

Utter shambles, bereft of ideas. 30 runs away from losing the match.

The only thing more embarrassing than this bowling 'effort' are the Indian fans who gave up hope about 4 hours ago

Relax, it's a lead of just 90. Australia have nothing to worry about if the target is under 200.

That's what I'm telling to my dad who is an Aussie fan. If we want any chance in this match, we need a target of over 300.

300 is a bit too much. I think 250 should do it.

The lead reaches 100 with effectively only 3 wickets down, incredible fight back from India to win this match and utter dross from Australia to throw the series away after such a promising start.
