Australia tour of India (Feb '17/Mar '17)

Respect to Smith! Respect. What a knock under pressure!! In my opinion, a better knock than Pune and something that suits the stature of his ability.

Where are the muppets who say Smith can only bat at home? Scoring runs for fun all around the world. I don't care how bad we lose Smith silencing the flogs is what matters now. And he's sticking it up Kohli and the rest of the sooks for the past week too great stuff.

I see Saha was taking a leaf out of the MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly book of claiming false catches.

1. No one said smith can bat only at home.
2. And Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke.

Huh? Lose badly?... Wake up JEFF!!! Australia look like they've broken the indians, and you reckon we're gunna lose badly lol, we've shown we're up to the task the whole series, why doubt them now?

Its great to see Maxwell the way he did. He was always a big hitter but now it seems that he's learning to spend time in the middle which will enable him to get big scores in Test and ODI cricket. That will give Australia a lot of confidence in him as a batsman. Hopefully, Maxwell gets a huge hundred and ends the Mitchell Marsh chapter once and for all.

Good day for Australia! Really pleased to see Maxwell batting well, this innings will surely help him and do his confidence a world of good to evolve as better player in all three formats of the game.
India need early wickets tommorw otherwise 450 - 500 are on the cards and they will have to bat extremely well to get close to the Australian total with the pitch deteriorating helping the spinners as the match progresses.

They will get 500. Just hope the pitch doesn't break until end if day 3 atleast. Happy with Maxwell's batting. But sad that he scored against us. Hopefully he will be the permanent player instead of Marsh. We need some luck to get these two quickly tomorrow else we are in deep trouble.

Surprised at seeing Maxwell play like this. I guess everyone's convinced he should bat above Wade now.

Fantastic knocks from both Smith and Maxwell but the job is not even 30% done. On this track, against India, 450-500 is the par score.

Two points, one on Smith and other on Handscomb: The latter is a very confusing player. He has looked very comfortable most of the time yet has got out before making a huge score. He needs to make that step up if he wants to join the group of elite batsmen. Smith has looked more defensive that he usually is. Hasn't taken a lot of risks, not even against loose deliveries. Seems like it's a personal mission of his to be successful here.

How desparate Saha was for Smith's wicket.. LOL.. Anyway Australia fought back like real tigers. India would have never thought about that before the start of this series. The overconfidence and Aus being under-dog gave the team the right kind of spirit and preparations they required. The Warner wicket was more kind of Luck. It was a brutal shot. Warner has to click now and Aus should think about Handscomb. Don't judge his performances against Pakistan.

Can't agree more on Handscomb. I thought he would be a walking wicket before coming here, but he seems temperamentally strong and I like that he's busy. His technique also looks shabby, but he's very very still and solid on impact. He has confused me as well because he looks like he's never going to get out but against the run of play he does.

The overconfidence was more on our (fans) side Rehan. The team never boasted about anything pre series.
