Australia tour of India (Feb '17/Mar '17)

Markkkkk

Not all the time in England at each venue or weather wise especially you win toss bats first dismissed for 150, once the sun came out opposition team piles up runs, its happened number of time when Asian team toured England, tourist bowled out vs their swing bowling cheaply while bats first.

Whats needed for Indian home series is a neutral curator, have watched roads turn into minefields over a few years apart.

No way neutral curator idea works for test matches or any other format because overseas team needs to follows the same rules for test matches in overseas venues.

M.Clarke was on TV yesterday @Mumbai,he says, if Australia bats first, David should hold entire Buren of Australian batting to his shoulder because he is vice captain of the team, he now found solution to play vs Ashwin,

Clarke says we have new plan for rahane, who bats beautiful in last test.our bowling combination better than Bangalore test.we not worry for VK / ashwin (batting) /Saha because so far they not scores runs vs us.

I don't think you can have neutral curatora, certainly not in a sence that you have neutral umpires. You could probably legislate curator independence but I doubt this would work, given curators usually work for cricketing boards, be it directly or indirectly.

Perhaps a situation where test venues prepare 3 pitches (which I believe they do anyway) and the umpires pick, or more preferably each captain chooses one not to use and the remaining one is used.

Not that I think dodgy pitches are a exclusively Indian issue. Although not the same, abd I don't know if it's a issue now most pitches are drop in, or whether now the cricket and afl season encroach enough that make preparation of the underlying square and issue or whether there has been direction from the ICC/CA or there's a better scientific understanding or what it is, but pitches of late, certainly in Australia have largely lost their character and flair. It's not quite the issue that seems to be happening in the current series, but it's an issue none the less...

Can you expand please? Not sure as to what your point is.

Well your point, I think I misunderstood, so sorry for that.ICC not allows Curator other than same
Nation.

I am aware of ICC dont, they should allow a neutral curator for test pitches in India.

Really an official investigation needs to be launced into the preps of Indian pitches.

Crucial toss. Should have won it. Anyway If India wins this match, it will be their biggest win this season.

Looks like a Very Good Wicket.Might start to turn from day 3 onwards i reckon with the heat falling on the wicket and the black soil exposes up.A good first Innings score is Pivotal for Australia as this brings pitch into the equation heading into day 4 and 5.

Let's forget all the controversy that has happened in the past week or so and rather enjoy the cricket going on.

Coming to the match, Australia probably had their best start with the bat in the series. Played with intent and put away the bad balls before Warner had his usual brainfart of course. It is imperative that Smith and Renshaw play with some momentum and don't get bogged down.

In completely unrelated events, is it just me or have straight drive boundaries off bowlers completely dried up? Don't think there have been many this season. Weird.

This will be one of the best sessions to bat in this test. I am afraid Smith is going to score a big one here in this session and the next one.

Ashwin being kept out for too long

Kohli injured ?
