Australia tour of India (Feb '17/Mar '17)

Pujara was very slow today.
Pujara has taken over Dravid in facing the most no of balls in an innings 525 ball for 202 for him surpassing Dravid's 495 ball 270 in 2004.(That marathon 270 vs Pakistan in Rawalpindi).

Take a look at the score and you would know why. 8 overs were too hot to handle for the Aussies . Imaging what could've happened if they had to face another 10 overs or so.
So if I follow your logic correctly you saying India are trying to play out a draw by limiting their chances at taking more Australian wickets on the 4th day!

Oh playboy, fail attempt!

I have something known as objectivity in my comments. I criticize my side whenever I feel they could have done something better. Also, your comments clearly show which side is jittery at the moment.

He obviously is a troll and one who is clearly miffed by India bossing this game.

Yes I want India to be defeated here. However if they do win from here they did a great job, cant argue that as much as I hate to see team India win.

Kohli is my favorite batsman, in a way i want them to win for him.[DOUBLEPOST=1489925765][/DOUBLEPOST]
:lol:lol @aditya123 Mind you he is a troll!

Lmao, thank you.

Aditya is a big boy, we have had some great dialogue in the past, he knows my style all to well.

Either a win by India or a draw, I think India has a golden opportunity to grab this win tomorrow. What a turnaround

I just saw the day's HLS after watching the full day's play. Riveting cricket. Live, it's hard to look at the Aussie perspective but Smith's captaincy treaded on borderline lunacy. He was bowling Cummins at stages captains would have rested their spinners and bowled Warner and Maxwell. Very poor!

Extremely good day's play for India! Superbly played by Pujara, Saha and Jadeja. The moment India held fort yesterday, I knew India already surged ahead of Australia in terms of who can win this game a lot more (I did mention the most likely result as of yday was 'Draw > India > Australia'). And today, India have just made sure that they are the only team who can possibly win this test. Right now, its 'India > Draw'. I won't be surprised if we even win by an innings here.

Saha has proved himself. The investment in him is starting to reap fruits. As a keeper, he is damn stable but he is also starting to fulfill the new age definition of a keeper - bat really well. Jadeja just rubbed it into Australia with that quick 50 and made them stare at defeat with those 2 wickets. Pujara - take a bow! All talk about his slow game is BS. He grinded Australia out almost on his own, with good help from Saha, Vijay, Rahul and Jadeja. Its very tough for teams to come back from losing the toss and having a 450 odd total pasted on them. But India seem to be comeback from it to even win test matches, in their own backyard.

Pujara's innings was perfect. And I don't agree with people who are telling he played too defensively. After yesterday's play our first priority was to go for draw. Even after erasing the deficit, I liked the way he played (defensive). If he had been dismissed early, say when we had 10 or 15 runs lead, then Aussies would still be in the game (I mean great chances for drawing the match). Aussies would still be positive and would have put more effort to get Jaddu out quickly. Pujara gave (ofcourse saha too) a good lead, and that helped Jaddu to bat freely. Pujara stayed and ensured that we got a healthy lead. By playing out as many deliveries as he did, he wore the opposition out. This was similar to how Karun Nair did in 5th match against England. Even I wanted India to declare much earlier, but they allowed Karun Nair to reach 300 and we got big fat lead.

Saha was exceptional. Didn't think he had it in him. No one's going to debate over his spot now. Great innings.

I hope we can win the game tomorrow. I am not sure how the pitch is as when we were batting it looked like it was flat but when they were batting it was like minefield. Maybe jaddu is hitting at the right spot. Obviously Smith is a class batsmen and Renshaw is good in this series. We have to get them out quickly.

Wow! So basically the opinion that he could have played a bit quicker is bull shit because you feel so mate? We have argued before, agreed often but I don't remember saying that what you opine for is BS! I think the wicket was flat enough to kick on in the second session. This is just my opinion. Saha was playing the same game and he could strike it around 50-55 while Pujara was striking at 30-35. A lead of 150 means that we might have to bat again. 200 psychologically would have been tough on the Aussies. Mind you, we both could be wrong. I still feel the Aussies will snag a draw out of it.

Personally, India's win in my opinion hinges massively on Ashwin because I'm confident Jadeja will do his bit. If Ashwin can bowl with the same energy, passion and positive mindset that he did in Bengaluru, Australia might as well not turn up tomorrow, but if not then I see a close draw.

Wow that is some turnaround by India. Pujara is the type of batsman who will just dig in and bat for days and this inning was just an example of that. That was an absolute master class by him especially after we had a bit of a collapse with our middle order. However, a special mention has to go to Saha. I have been a huge critic of Saha and he never looked like an international cricketer to me. However, he has improved really well in this home season. His keeping has been top notch and his batting has gone to another level which is great to see. Yes, he is still a very shaky starter but once he is in, he can dig in and make runs which is always a good sign. I have absolutely no doubt that Jadeja will bowl like he usually does and get wickets tomorrow as well but Ashwin has to find a way to take wickets. Australia have played him really well in this series so far and he needs to find a way to overcome that. Jadeja will need his support from the other end.

Jadeja you beauty! Another [HASHTAG]#brainfader[/HASHTAG] moment in the series. Both the set batsman dismissed now
