They have been lucky over all seasons but I seriously think CSK didn't deserve to be in play offs this season. They have played a bad quality of cricket while others have been consistent. They somehow manage to be in play offs every season even without doing anything special.

Sadly stats doesn't show the true reality. I doubt anyone even a CSK fan will think they did enough this season to go into play offs.

Last time. We won several matches in a row and we won all of our home matches. Wasn't that special?

I really say that this is the worst season for CSK. We won occasionally. RCB deserved more to qualify.

yes csk din't had a great season their indian batsmen failed to contribute to the team likes of vijay,raina,dhoni. Rcb should have been in the play off but our real problem was net run rate which was so bad through out this season . In last two season we had very great positive nrr which took us to semi final
Luck doesn't stay with you that long if its the only factor dictating your success. The fact that the side has won two IPL's in a row, and is still in the race for its third is the fact that they have found the players for the right situations. Other teams just didnt compete with CSK when the crunch situation arrives. The real deal of an IPL tournament starts in the playoffs. The league stages are to decide who will play there. CSK have done well where the real deal is.
This season, they have been more inconsistent than their previous editions, but if they still manage to win this edition after this display, the inclination to call them the most consistent (and probably 'the best') side will just get more louder.

For you, Kohli has been a flop this tournament (yes he had a good score here and there, but overall he was a big reason for RCB's predicament). And which other Indian batsman in RCB clicked? Tiwary, Mayank Agarwal both were flops. Its because of Gayle, DeVilliers, Dilshan that you guys fought hard.

ya i know kohli was not inform this season that was the big problem for us but our real big problem throughout the tournament was bowlers batsmen did their job but not the bowlers after posting 200 runs on boar against the csk bowlers couldn't defend it and also against mumbai 51/5 and in the end 173/5
if we would have won those 2 matches surely we would have finished 2nd in the points table but not to be. as far as tiwary concern i will say that he was the one of the biggest failure buy for us 1.6 m 
.and come on mate agarwal is a young inexperience player but he did well for us in the tournament apart from the last match were he needed to step up get a partnership going with kohli just he was undone by brilliant bowling from mishra

@SaiSrini: Agreed that luck does not stay for that long. But CSK don't need luck tbh, they have N Srinivasan and that's enough.

Srinivasan is the president of BCCI and yeah he's a partner of India cements.
BUT you guys are finding a factor to complain.
How can he fix matches with hell lot of people involving in the season?
You seem to contradict yourself. In one other thread, you say that these matches could not be fixed. Then you come about here wailing about Srinivasan's connection with CSK and how he is helping them. You believe he is helping them, but you are trying not to put your foot down and actually say it?
If you guys think Srinivasan can make CSK win each and every IPL, why do your teams even play the tournament? Are they playing it for money? If money is enough for them to stay in the tournament and make up the numbers, that's a worser thing. Is Sehwag playing for DD knowing that he can never win the IPL?
