i dont think the selectors picked him for the squad

yeah thats what i was wondering was he injured or he left cricket ? becos McMillan was a great cricketer in my opinion!!! ;)

I think this where NZ really misses Cairns and Harris.... They have won many matches for NZ!!!

also for franklin he needs to get axed, i dont really mind whether anyone out of mason, butler, adams or even tuffey!!! replaces him

atleast tuffey was accurate and got seam

If it ain't swinging he shouldn't be in. Don't know why on earth he was there today, Patel would have been the best option given we struggle against the spinners as Vettori showed.

even if it is swinging he shouldn't be in, he cant control his swing

I see no reason why Oram or Vettori couldn't hit 100 between them. I think the needed RPO is a problem. I still want to see our lower order notch up some runs so it isn't a total embarrisment.

It's a longshot, sure. But Ponting can't relax yet. He has no McGrath to turn to now.

3-22, amazing stuff. He was too good. If he is fit for the Ashes, England have no hope.

Bracewell told him to get fit. He is still young and has lots of experiance, we should perhaps look to get him back. .

Isnt he like 30?

I also agree that... Patel cud have been there... Its like similar case of Powar for India being dropped :p

I don't think 1/41 of a total of 9/240 shows a particular degree of struggle. Definitely better than Franklin, but not evidence that spin is the Achilles' heel.

the problem is our actual main batsman, marshall, astle, vincent and fulton are not doing anything out in the middle thats why the pressure goes on the lower order

oram and vettori have gotten us out of a mess before but really we should be depending on our main batters

Yep, about that. A lot of players with his experiance are a few years older.
Yeah, but you said he was "still young." Thats not really "still young"

Rafique, Moniga, Gayle all have gone well against us, the latter two being no more than part timers. Vettori started off very well and only started going for runs late in the piece which most spinners would do.

I may have to take back my comment about the pitch. Oram and Vettori are doing fine and showing up the top order. Maybe it was just bad batting.

15 run over!

Still young enough. He could play in the World Cup of 2011

Like to put it other way though... good Bowling display by Aussies in first 15 overs :D

Mitchell Johnson was bowling just then, so most likely what you said.

Interesting that there isn't much between the run rates.

For us to have a sniff, this would probably have to break a partnership record.
