Pakistan Tour of Australia 2009/10

I think it's time to drop Hauritz.

Bring a young spinner on in the next couple of game, Jon Holland at the MCG or Steven Smith at the SCG.

At their home grounds they're more likely to do well. Plus, the Pakistanis struggle against left arm spin, so a Holland could be dangerous.

Agree with Gazza, I dont hate Horrie, but now that we have a pace attack that isnt wayward its time to blood an attacking spinner, and naturally you'd want a wristie, so either Smith or McGain.

Yeah I'm sure Steven Smith would do just fine against Pakistan :sarcasm

We played our young leggie against Pakistan in the warm-up game before the first test and he was pretty much hammered all round the ground, and judging both players by there first-class records Nethula is a better bowler.

How is someone that averages in the mid 70's going to do any better then Nathan Hauritz, can somebody please tell me that?

Because it's always time to drop Hauritz. :laugh

Hasn't done enough? Drop him.
Done enough? Best he can do, now drop him.
Pitch won't take spin? Drop him.
Pitch will take spin? Can afford to try someone else. Drop him.

I say, blow the whole thing and start a rebel T20 competition.

Any takers?

:laugh So true.

Look, what's Hauritz going to do for us in the long run?

Continue to take three tail end wickets a game, and continue to see us drawing matches because we can't bowl the opposition out on day five?

We don't need a spinner that will create pressure, because we've got a fast bowling attack that will do that. With an attacking spinner ala a leggie we can use that pressure to take wickets, which Hauritz doesn't do.

Hauritz said that he was surprised Benn gets so much spin on the ball. Benn was considered a bounce and drift bowler before this series.

Time for Hauritz to go then? :laugh

Now someone pray Ponting is injured :p Jokes

I can not understand why Hilfy is not in, he was so much better than Siddle in the 1st Test.

we don't have an economical bowling line up at all. Johnson still gets carted, McKay did also. Bollinger is economical and so is Hilfy but no one else is. so hauritz stays.
