Sri Lanka in England/Netherlands

I agree, GoJo was part of a big collapse and was batting with the tail, he had to take more risks. Also his Wicket keeping was pretty good.

He also took that stumping pretty far away from his stumps too! But maybe I am being generous.

He's a flipping bowler, you can't rate him on his batting.

KP 4

His bowling was dire :p

Thats just being arrogant. I would call a 6 an average rating and Panesar didn't bowl out of his skin.

Yes that stumping was very well done, and it showed him practising it before the ball was bowled.

But he bowled better than average.

He actually spins it, a rare view for English spectators.

I don't think we should get into an arguement over Giles/Panesar which I think I see this going. Panesar's drop at mid-off was pathetic and that highly influenced my decision on givng Monty Panesar a 6

does anyone know a reason why Owais Shah has disapeared? He did really well in Mumbai to help win the test.

My opinion on Giles/Panesar: If Giles can take 4/5 wickets each test with a good economy, score 20-ish runs in each innings and fields well (he is probably the best gully in the world) I would definatly have Giles.

Just a guess, but maybe due to his poor one day form in India and Tresco returning at the top of the order.

I doubt Shah will win another cap anytime soon. There a lot of middle order batmsen who England favour over him; Collingwood, Vaughan, Cook, Bell, Pietersen (although he is almost irreplaceable now) and I doubt that England will ever again be as injury plagued as they were in India!

Who would you say is the best gully in the world then

I'd have to say Giles too. I really can't wait until Giles is back in the England fold, he is a key part in the dressing room, he bats, bowls, fields and catches very well. Unlike Monty :(
