Collingwood fields at backward point or point, not gully.

But we need to hold catches in the slips and gully.

Put KP at point.

Reverse for ODIs.

Bumble link

A piece with David Lloyd (close your eyes Andrew ;) )

Go to Davids Inbox at the bottom, then look at the first question entitled: Full Monty or King of Spain?

Then look at the last bit of Bumbles reply.

There's hope yet.

Anyone watched Sky Sports News this morning? Ashley Giles is training with the England squad, he's been bowling as well so good signs for England.

Good signs? If it means we're going to swap a perfectly decent spinner for a part-time non-spin bowler who bats a bit, it's far from a good sign.

I think it is, it'll get Panesar out of the spot light for awhile. Alow him to work on his fielding and batting without as much pressure on him. Giles does a decent job so I say let him take over again while Panesar gets better in his other aspects. Then Panesar can come back without so many critics and be an asset to England both with ball and in the field.

I agrre let Panesar have more time on his fielding, that's probably why has hasn't got a chance in ODI's. Well if i was coach i would have him noway near the ODI team.

I think all the attention has been focused of Panesar and Udal that Giles has been forgotten. But it's good to see him back in the team and I do agree that Panesar's fielding does need vast improvement.

Giles does a decent job? He averaged nearly SIXTY with the ball in the Ashes last year. That is far from decent.

Andrew its obvious that you dislike Giles, but he still did a job with bat and ball last summer wouldnt you agree ?
Who else was around at the time to take on the aussies last summer ?

I watched him train with someone on the pitch before the 1st days play at Edgebaston last week and he looked to be throwing the ball ok then.

Collingwood fields at gully in Test Matches, backward point in one-dayers.
