Sri Lanka in England/Netherlands

Jon Lewis has got Vandort dragging on to off-stump. What a disasterous start for Sri Lanka!

What a great start for Jon Lewis's Test career though, first over and he gets a crucial wicket, well done to him :D

In my opinion Darryl Hair has to be the worst umpire around at the moment. He made mess ups turing the SA tests including a shocker to Fleming and now this decision to Sangakara. No bat anywhere near that ball.

Perhaps that unfair Sangakarra dismissal is a reversal of fortunes. He could have been given out first ball when he tickled the ball down legside, but Darryl Hair gave the batsman the benefit of the doubt that time.

Another wicket! Finally Hoggard, who has been uncharacteristically poor today, has found the right line! Let's hope the Yorkshire man has settled now.

I'm glad they drafted in Lewis for Mahmood. Sajid didn't have full control while bowling and was fairly loose :(

Good wicket for him early and now Flintoff has a wicket. Hopefully Hoggard will find his rhythm and take out the middle order

Four Down! A typical Flintoff brute of a delivery! England deserve this!

P.S: Woopeee! I got my century of posts!!

This is usually what happens after a bad decision. The sooner this appealing of umpires decisions thing coems in the better. That decision has lead to a major collapse. Its good bowling from England and poor batting from Sri Lanka. Benefit goes to the batsmen, I doubt Hair could of been 100% sure he nicked that, thats the rule. I mean, Im not going for SL, but I am watching it for good cricket, and a team collapsing like that is not interesting.

It is when you are English! :D

Anyway, what goes around comes around! Was the umpire completley sure that Strauss nicked that ball in the 2nd innings at Edgebaston?

And when I came back fom the doctors at about 11:10, they showed a replay that showed Sangakarra nicked one down the legside at the very start of his innings.

Some you get some you don't.

208-9

Murali 22 clobbering a bit.

Monty on.

Another poor decision by Darrel Hair, this time in Sri lankas favour. Murali went to sweep panesar, hit his bat, then glove, went in the air, and GoJo took a very very good catch. But given not out!!

Monty should have had a wicket, Murali gloved it, great catch by Jones, given not out by Hair though. Me not happy.

That's three test matches in a row were the Sri Lankan tail have had to show the top order how to bat in the first innings! Chaminda Vaas should open!

All this talk about Vaughan replacing Colly or Cook, well I think it's possible that Strauss could be the man to go and Cook could open again.

Vaughans best position is opening.

Strauss for me seems to make some silly errors.

Todays dismissal for instance.

He needs a good summer for sure.
