Australia tour of India (Feb '17/Mar '17)

Not trolling you for this but @Bluebagger must note down a word from your post - "lucky". Do you remember anything, mate?

Given the conditions, India's attack is much better than their Australian counterparts. Even when it comes to the batting lineup, India's is better in these conditions imo. More depth and variety on paper.
This is just ridiculous lol Sharma averages 36, Yadav 37 and Ashwin is irrelevant outside of Asia. You're taking the piss here.

Probably the most important day of the series for India. They have to make a comeback if they want to save the series.

Assuming you never saw the West Indies vs India series!
West Indies could maybe not be counted, because they are not a very powerful side even at home but we will see in the next few years to see how well Ash will fare overseas. He is an even more improved bowler than around 2013/14 where he was dropped in SA and did bad in Nz as well.

Umpires call saved smith?......

Solid first hour for India. This is the intent that was missing in the first test and also yesterday when we batted. They need to keep building the pressure. Smith very lucky to survive that LBW.

Indians behaving like a U-16 school team. Really stupid! Ishant Sharma should focus on his test average, not trying to act smart with a batsman with more capability in his toe nail than his whole huge body.

Australia have been quite negative this morning which is never a good thing. India have bowled well but both Renshaw and Smith could have been a tad more proactive and put the bowlers off their guard.

That's why I said 'given the conditions'.

This forum knows I'm Ashwin's biggest critic and I still dislike him, BUT, his spell today has been the best I've seen him bowl. Not many wickets, but this is the Ashwin I want to see. Stand up under pressure and be counted for!

Kohli's captaincy has been so poor! So so poor!

Great session for India.... No freebies given and every run was hard to find for the Aussies

Utterly pathetic from Australia. Possibly the worst innings Smith has ever played, what was he thinking?! Whatever momentum Australia had in the first day, they've ceded it and more to India through some extremely cowardly batting. Zero intent, zero positivity.

I think the Australian batsmen have made the Indian bowlers and the pitch look much more threatening than they actually are. A bit like the Sri Lankan tour to be honest.

That was a pretty good session for India even though Australia lost only 2 wickets in it. We need to get Renshaw pretty quickly after lunch to get a better grip on the game. Hopefully we can continue bowling like this in the next 2 sessions.

There can be no result other than an Indian win this pitch is misbehaving on early day 2 already and chasing will be impossible, win the toss and bat first can't lose zzzzzzz

That's why I said 'given the conditions'.

They've already out performed them in these conditions
