Time for Ashwin to change the line, not the field and go around the wicket to these two. Jadeja please from the other end. I don't get why Kohli feels he can't bowl to LH batsmen. If anything, Yadav to S Marsh is better than I Sharma.

Jimmy Anderson over the wicket tailing it late into Renshaw! Plum LBW or caught at bat pad. Can already see it for the Ashes! But what a temperament this kid has! FML! Shastri on Hindi commentary and Gavaskar on English!!!

Jadeja has bowled 4 overs on a pitch where he's your trump card! Superb! India's quicks have been superb but they've been thoroughly overused and Ashwin is bowling the negative line post lunch!

What I really want to know is...why isn't there neutral curators?

India and to an extent asia in general have been rigged in the home teams favour time and time again! To the extent the home team have ridiculous and over inflated win/loss records. Not to mention batting and bowling statistics that don't truly reflect a players ability.

Surely even with neutral curators, there would still be enough natural variations in weather and soil conditions that each countries pitches would still retain there own natural variations enough to define there location. Pitch doctoring has become expected and accepted, even though it was once percieved as against the spirit of the game. Sad state of affairs really...

What's funny is the Indians in particular cry about the pitches in Australia Sri Lanka were having a cry about the pitches in South Africa too. These have been woeful pitches in these two games but if India want to essentially win a coin toss then good luck to them

Very depressing to see the way India batted on the first day.

Even though they have pulled things back a little, I see only one winner here. You can't win a match after being bowled out for 189.

I can't see beyond a 2-0 scoreline here by the end of this test. Australia certainly are avenging their 0-4 loss.

Correct these pitches are disgraceful! Makes it even more important that Australia actually win the series comprehensively in order to give the whole "pitch doctoring" a good re-think, and possibly a solution... Thats if the Icc don't step in sooner or later.... oh wait who's running the show there
