Australia tour of India (Feb '17/Mar '17)

93.6

Ashwin to Wade, no run, India are reviewing for pad-glove. Ashwin has moved over the wicket. Wade pads one away into the rough. The ball hits the flap of the pad and then the chest and lobs up for a catch. Once again, embarrassingly for India, we don't even need the Ultra Edge to send the review back. So India out of challenges. India need a DRS coach

He's bowled really well. Watched every ball today!

Kohli has been PATHETIC!

Add to hat the rub of the green being firmly in the Aussie corner.

Why is Jadeja not bowling?

I don't know why but Kohli was a better Test captain befor MS stepped down. I feel he is just having too much in the plate with all three formats in his bag.

Unless Starc can smash another 50 that's the game right there. It'll be impossible batting last on this dog shit wicket

Ashwin bowled really well today. His figures doesn't indicate that, but he was amazing today since first ball. Few Australian batsmen have been really very lucky.

Is the game and series over for India? or there is still a glimmer of hope? A lead of more than 100 would be handy considering how our batsmen have fared out and how well Aussie spinners have bowled. I would love to see a gritty performance from the Indian batters in the 2nd innings to make the test match more interesting if not than "Australia retains the Border - Gavaskar Trophy".

We had to get Australia all out today to come back in the game. Obviously we didn't do that but because we controlled the runs to an extent which is why we are still in the game but clearly advantage Australia. We have to wrap them up as soon as possible tomorrow and can not afford another half century from someone like Mitch Starc here. I think we bowled really well for the most part of the day but this is a totally different Australian team. They are ready to fight it out and score ugly runs. This is not the team who is willing to move game forward at any cost like the past Australians teams were. They are ready to take a step back and grind it out if the runs are hard to come by. Matt Renshaw was the perfect example of this approach. Virat on the other side is someone who loves to move game forward at any cost and therfore he is very impatient as a captain. I have said this in past as well about his aggression. It is good for the team as long as he doesn't over do aggression.

Lastly, Indian batsmen have to show better intent and application in the second inning if we want to even come close to winning this test match. An absolute monumental batting effort is required from the batsmen to bring us back into this game.

Australia ahead by 48 runs, no way India could win this test, unless the weather saves them then a draw is off the cards also.

Still lmao at the guys predicting a 4-0 sweep for India.

India has utilized some sledging techniques out there today as I saw some. I think they aren't doing good for them keeping in view they have yet to bat and Aussies are sort of inventors of sledging and mind games. Kohli needs to reply with his bat. Its looking the only way they have to clinch this match.

PS: Looks like the pitch is quite uneven. Sad to see...

If Australia get a 100+ lead here, they are well on the way to retaining the BG trophy. India will most likely implode again in the 3rd innings and who knows we might even be in for an innings defeat. At Least 2 of our batsmen have to play out of their skins in the 3rd innings against bowlers who are made to look like magicians when they are just almost club level.

One small interesting info is - there is thunderstorms predicted for the upcoming days in Bangalore. India better pray for it. The Pune horror has ravaged the minds badly. We have become such poor players of spin. I think Rahane should be preserved for overseas tests and we need Nair and someone else in the team for tests in India. And we might as well bring back Dhawan and have him as the backup instead of Mukund. Some players just dont realize their potential in intl cricket when given the chance.

You want him to prove himself by warming the bench? He must be given another chance to 'prove' himself. With this, I can say that this sentence does not make any sense, atleast to me.

How many chances does Rahane require on turning pitches? His technique on slow pitches is pathetic. Dhoni has called him out for this before and he's absolutely right. If Kohli doesn't do anything unfortunately the vice captain can't even do anything. He is consistently failing and at least Karun Nair played shots in the first innings, he looked really good against the spinners.
