Australia's Tour Of India - 2008

Notice that ball from Zaheer Khan where Clarke hit it straight back to him and ZaK took a shy at stumps? That was a ball that Watson would have picked up, taken a shy, and then gone and mouthed off the batsman.

Ishant Sharma dropped the simplest of catches.

It is funny how the Indian media keeps taking potshots at the FAB FOUR for their lack of agility on the field. At least the FAB FOUR are all safe catchers unlike our new breed who are not even safe catchers.

This will hurt us bigtime.A wicket within the first 30 minutes would have set the tone for the day.
I can really see us having along long day on the field now with Clarke making us pay.

Sharma and Khan walked down and glared at the batsmen a lot. But you didn't see them engaging the batsmen in conversations over after over. It was more mental intimidation than demonstrating a small range of vocabulary.

I'd say Zaheer seems to prefer to release all of his pent up sledges against Australian batsman after they have been dismissed, even if he is fielding at deep cover.

Gambhir deserved what he got, simple. Sure, it can definitely be argued that Watson was out of line in his constant sledging, but that in no way gave Gambhir the right to "accidentally" (surely he doesnt think we are all that stupid?) elbow him. I'd also be willing to bet that he gave as good as he got at some stage during the innings, he definitely had plenty of time to.

And also, cheers for finally doing us a favour Sharma :)

Really silly stuff from Ishant. That could have triggerred a collapse.

That is why we are a long shot from being the best side in the world. These are moments which could be the difference between a series won or a drawn series. As someone who has watched Indian cricket for a while now,I know that things can go from the sublime to the ridiculous in a short time.Clarke could well go on to make a huge score here and get back into form.

If the Aussies escape with the draw, they would feel like they have the moral victory from this game and would well go into the Nagpur game with renewed confidence. That could result in them being able to square the series.

I know its a long way off and that I may sound pessimistic but I have seen a lot of cricket to know that it is on the cards.

For a tall man those catches are tricky as Sharma showed of course still should have been taken but certainly alot more trickier for him.

Other than that and Watson rash shot early on there hasn't been too much to worry about. Dhoni needs to bring on Sharma and Sehwag.

Its time to bring Sharma into the attack. He should be given a chance to make amends for his mistake quickly.

I feel Zaheer and Mishra are not troubling them... tiem to change!

Why is Gavaskar giving unnecessary publicity to Aishwarya Rai (Bollywood actress)? Did anyone ask him if it was her birthday today?:D

The runs are coming too quickly for my liking. The moment Australia come close to the Indian total, only one team can win the game from there on (Australia).India should be wary of that happening.
For God sake, put a third man there !

Nothing seems to be troubling the Aussies here. The missed chance is going to hurt us.

He's probably got a thing for her.

Hmm, me and Gavaskar have something in common!

That was a wicked six by Clarke, it was there to cut by the time it got to him, but he used the width to unleash a huge pull against the spin.

Do not rule out the possibility of an Aussie victory here.If the Aussies get bowled out close to the Indian total and the Indian batting collapses in the second innings, we have a result !
