Australia's Tour Of India - 2008

I feel Zaheer and Mishra are not troubling them... tiem to change!

Why is Gavaskar giving unnecessary publicity to Aishwarya Rai (Bollywood actress)? Did anyone ask him if it was her birthday today?:D

Time to change, yes, probably get Sourav to bowl.

And I think its VVS Laxman's b'day too.Thats why Gavaskar probably highlighted Rai's.

Do not rule out the possibility of an Aussie victory here.If the Aussies get bowled out close to the Indian total and the Indian batting collapses in the second innings, we have a result !

If Australia get close to the Indian total, India will be the ones looking to draw the match, and yes australia could sneak through wickets.

And in Delhi, the final innings has a higher average than the third innings... All looking ominous!

It would be tough for the Aussies to chase down a total in excess of 200 on the fifth day.

Nice shots for 4 by Watson there. Two straight to the vacant 3rd man. Agree with the Clarke 6, it looked like he had an age to pull that shot off.

Correct in theory but there is no way our bowling lineup is going to cause the Indian collapse. I think we've bowled you guys out like once this series? And we haven't bowled you guys out in the 2nd inns yet.

You have Micheal Clarke.... :p

Unless Johnson and Lee strike early there is no way the Aussies are going to win this.

The Indians have lost the plot here. They are scoring boundaries at will.

To allow a side which is under the pump to score at 5 runs an over in a crucial session is ridiculous. As Sai said, we would be the side under the pump when we come out to bat the second time around and the Aussies would have absolutely no pressure on them.
We all know how big a difference that could make to a fielding side.

This is potentially series changing, this session.

Hehe just not the same pitch for him to cause that 6-9 ;)

Just noticed Sehwag gets that away drift then the ball rips in. That's pretty neat especially if he could get a doosra to keep it spinning away.

Trust me.I have seen the Indians collapsing against worse attacks than this Aussie attack under pressure of saving a game.We could not bat out 2 sesions against an English attack which had a debutant in Panesar and a club quality spinner in Udal at Mumbai in 2006.
Or for instance at Bangalore in 2005 where we collapsed against Afridi,Arshad Khan and Kaneria !

If not this game, Iam sure that a draw here and the Indians would start thinking differently at Nagpur and the Aussie would come fired up there.

It does not take a lot of time for things to change.I can see this series ending up 1-1 at Nagpur and the Aussies retaining the trophy which would be very very disappointing from the Indian point of view.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VVS LAXMAN! The Very Very Special Lad Of Hyderabad! Woah! It was all smiles in delhi when they played the "Happy Birthday" Song for him! :)

He was Very very special, he's Very very special, he'll be Very very Special! The entire hyderabad will be proud of him! :)..

The only way Australia will win is if India lose it as England did in Adelaide in 06. Considering we had Warne, McGrath and were facing a completely spineless batting lineup (apart from Collingwood), the chances of that happening here are pretty much zero.

India on the other hand have a better chance of winning this game if they somehow manage to spark a collapse within the next 10-15 overs.

I know that it would be pretty apparent that Iam quite frustrated with the way we are bowling today.
Even though we got only 4 wickets yesterday, at no point did we look like having los the plot unlike today where we are just waiting for things to happen.

If Clarke bats until his average reaches 50 we should be safe.
lol, but yeah, with all these 50s, if any of them gets a hundred, the lead will be negated and India will have to start all over again, with little time to spare. That would make a draw look like the sensible approach, but if they aren't entirely interested in that, then things could happen.

I want to be optimistic, but Kumble is BACK!!!!:( Anyways, no other hope but to hope on Kumble

Get past the trailing by 200 mark and start slogging, let's go for the win I'd rather risk losing to win than play for the draw personally. We should've won the first test and it's time to even up the score.

The pattern there is they had proper spinners. All we got is White. I would be LMAO if White won us the match with the ball. But Katich looks to be our best hope as he turns it the most. Clarke obviously next but hes got back problems.
