England's tour of India - 2021

One must compliment Kohli for the fact that he removed himself from his coveted number 3 to give Kishan and SKY a chance. He's such a good bloke and his intention is always right but he's such an awful cricket brain and just impatient AF.
Is it really a good move to be trying new players in new positions at this stage?

You have to be barking mad to suggest Rahul should be dropped. He will get back in the thick of it. He's clearly affected with the fact that the gloves aren't with him and that he doesn't have second wing to make the side, so to speak.

This is the same player tearing apart the Kiwi bowling line-up just 14 months ago.
14 months is a too long gap. Look what they did to Pant in that 14 months. The way he is playing, timid is not what Indian team needs. We cannot have two Rohit's opening the innings.

The fact that we're praising this much needed move which has happened so late when New Zealand and Australia have done it with their coveted stars a lot earlier shows how much better things could have been.

Not at all.

Rahul does have a second wing in T20s and that is his powerplay game. It's disheartening that it is a shadow of what it used to be.

It's not the worst idea to have SKY bat 3 and Kohli 4, specially if the PP has ended.

It's just one bad series. It'll take him one knock to get it back. Just a mindset thing.

Anything under 190 not going to challenge England much. Dew is already kicking in hard.

I would love it if he gets back to his old style in the IPL. Now that they've got Malan, he needs to make more use of the powerplay instead of forcing Mayank to be the main hitter.

Also this has been lovely from Shreyas in a position he had no right to be in.

I would love to have a Rahul who hits the ball out of the park. The competition is getting to him and while its not fair for a player of this caliber, caliber alone cannot keep you in the side when there are so many players in a country of 1.3 billion waiting for a chance to play in the XI. As I said, we have a Rohit Sharma who takes his time to settle and goes berserk, we cannot have KL doing the same thing especially in T20's. The reason we did good in the past was because Sehwag would fire and Gambhir would accelerate as the game progresses. Tell me when did India have a good solid opening partnership in limited overs cricket?

Yes, there is talent and its just one game, but in the WC year, there is no 1 game. For us, its always been 1 game that has cost us the tournament. 2017 Champions Trophy, 2019 WC and now I can see the same happening this year because us the Indian fans are the most laxed.

What a catch! and then there are our cricketers who drop easy catches.

The difference is clearly are the players who played the Vijay Hazare - SKY,Iyer,Kishan and even Thakur got runs in that tournament in some batting form.

The likes of Rahul and Pandya were injured are just in search for some kind of batting form.

Dhawan scored a 100 as well in that tournament.
