Other than Kohli bad what's your point? Was it not his captaincy that won the previous match?I assume it's case that for someone people when India win it's down to individual performance and when they lose it's down to the captain. Kuldeep bowled absolute garbage yesterday and the match before.
You're basically saying Kuldeep and Chahal aren't good enough to play without someone holding their hand telling them what to do. Are they babies?
Kuldeep averages 37.5 v England and Chahal 111.5. England absolutely battered them in the World Cup what was Dhoni doing then?
The whole world knows that we were incredibly fortunate to win the first game. Even after India won the decider in the T20 format, there was a clear agitation amongst most Indian fans as to the decision taken upon the opening combination post match. To be honest, it's getting mind numbing now with the amount of rubbish that is dished out from the leadership group after almost each game.
If you feel India's fans need a reason to bash the captain then you are entitled to that opinion but the last four Indian captains have practically been worshipped in these neck of the woods. If there are fifty Indian posters here, I'd say 80-90% are perplexed with the tactical side of things with our cricket team.
Our success post MS has been vastly down to the incredible first class system, NCA, A division cricket, IPL and an U-19 program that is probably good enough to thrash some associate teams. There is no doubt Morgan is blessed with an incredible team of batters and cricketers with the ability to do more than one discipline but there is a clear weakness in the bowling but you can also see that Morgan is consistent in his ways and doesn't adopt a reactive approach. Our leadership group has been in the job for half a decade. That's a lot of time to even learn if you're not a natural leader.
England did clatter our spinners in the World Cup and I think it was Manchester (I'm not sure) but it was the ground where one side of the boundary is a little bigger than an inner circle on some of the grounds and Kuldeep and Chahal took turns to bowl into the short side. I tried looking for wind direction when the game was on but there was no stat or anything of the sort to assist but it also felt that they were bowling where the wind was taking it further towards the shorter side.
Let's disregard all these factors and completely isolate England as a deadly opposition but what about the other teams? They both have been walloped else where too?
Doesn't Kuldeep have a hat-trick against the same opposition in their own den?
Kuldeep is/was an extremely gifted bowler. I also feel his pain more as I've seen him close quarters with Kolkata Knight Riders and you'd be amazed at the dip and drift he has when you stand behind and see him do his thing. Right now, there's no dip, no drift and no turn. The fear is that he might be terminally destroyed. They tried that with Pant but he had other ideas.
EDIT- And when it comes to MS Dhoni, I don't know about the "babies" analogy but some very sharp cricket minds would address him as "daddy."
