Tough match coming up and good wishes are with Pakistan but still even if we dont win it i won't be too disappointed because i expected that we would reach semi final, which we did.So now if we get into the final,it will be a bonus but even if we don't i won't mind
6 consecutive ICC tournament Semi Final appearance for a team like Pakistan who have been playing all their cricket away is an achievement indeed.
I will be cheering Pakistan on as well. Dunno but I always seem to like them after SA. They have this simple attitude of go all out or be all out for under 100. Kamikaze style haha
jayawardena's been brilliant since the super 8 stage kicked off, 4 consecutive 40s, in twenty20 that's incredible consistency. it's probably been quite a shock to people just how well he's adapted to the format.
Hafeez is playing like crap.... Against India too, he lost Pakistan so much momentum. He is almost doing the same here. 3 off 15 balls? And all this in the Powerplay?
Hope Sri Lanka's spinners turn on the screws from here!
Should be easy for Pakistan now tbh. They have wickets in hand, Hafeez looks in command (he is playing pretty well actually after that slow start) and Jamshed is a real talent. With Akmals to follow as well, I think it's going to Pakistan in the final here.
big over, even with the low run rate I thought the wickets in hand was favouring pakistan, to knock off two puts sri lanka right back in it.
I'm still not really sure about sri lanka's policy of picking players based on their past performances against the opposition rather than simply on the pitch. herath clearly in for dananjaya as sri lanka have had success exploiting pakistans weakness against left armers in the past.
Can no delivery that's pitched outside leg be given out by the umpire? Why is Ramiz Raja ranting on and on about how Rod Tucker has made a grave mistake of giving Jamshed out? The ball looked plumb in front, and Jamshed was on the backfoot and it looked even more plumber....
I don't understand what's with this "pitched outside leg; can't be given" thing. LBW is when the ball hits the batsman's pads (or body) without hitting the bat and when it could have gone on to hit the stumps.
