Pakistan in India

I think Sehwag is a great test player when he gets going
he can score runs fast!!

Well you'd say that because all asif has to do to get him out is to bowl a ball on a good lentgh quite wide, he'll slash or cut at it, and edge it to the keeper or hit it straight to gully! :p

The spinners will be crucial.

And I belive that India-Pakistan play too often.
They should be like played every 2 years, else it becomes monotonous.

Or every 4 years home and away just like the Ashes. It sort of loses it's sheen when they play so often.

Thats true.
I hope you remember the series in 1999 and 2004 which drew a lot of crowds.
That was fantastic.Just amazing.

I don't mind them playing ODI's[not too many though],but Tests,yes,after a few years.

Sehwag for the tests? Not in the near future. Karthik is doing well as an opener, and we have Jaffer and Akash Chopra fighting for the other opener's slot. And the middle order is jammed with no breathing space for Sehwag to fit in.

#6 is the only spot thats even squeezable. But Laxman's a legend and the next reserve is Yuvraj.

i thought they signed a deal or somthing (they=pak.india boards) that they only play every 2 years no less.

India need laxman for the tests. He is the best batsman in India AGAINST PACE ATTACK. Personally, i think India should put kartik done the order. Sure he did well against England but unless he rectifies his weakness he'll be a bunny. I think the video age has discovered his weakness: pace. He plays well against swing but its been the quicker ball that has undone him. Having said that it might be just poor form. I hope Misbah does well against South Africa and gets a spot against India. Wishful thinking maybe

Get back Aakash Chopra.
He will be an important cog if India are to do well in Australia.

I think he will not be massively useful in Pakistan on flat tracks though, against the mighty Australia in tough conditions are where he excels, by grinding out useful 20s at the top of the order.

The thing is if Chopra scores 20,the person at the other end[Sehwag] would be on 100+.
The opposition would not know as to whom to target in this case.
