Sri Lanka in England/Netherlands

If Colly and Chapple are alright after yesterday then I back us tbh.

Dalrymple impressed me with his off spin, despite only taking 1-50odd he put the ball in the right areas and spun it too, got a good batting record and can become our ODi spinner imo.

Ok. Slower bowlers have seemed to have conceeded much less runs so far. But it will be interesting. Can't wait. I am not saying pace is ineffective. I just don't think the Sri Lankan pacemen are going to be effective. Bandara and also Murili will be difficult. I think that you will have a lot of trouble with Bandara if they play him.

And its a real shame that tour match was rained out. I noticed that Cairnsy was playing. Was a bit expensive for his 1 over :( lol. But if he hada got that bat in his hand he coulda had some fun. I rekon he should become the first Twenty/20 specalist in world cricket.

Well thats not a bad record at all. A 11.25 bowling average. I noticed he is a meidum pacer. Medium pacers of quality are very hard to hit. Good batting record. Economy is extremly important and 8 is reasonably acceptable.

Sri Lanka won the toss and batting first in the 20/20, Bresnan gets his first start and starts with three wides from first four balls.

Ed Joyce has hurt his ankle. He's destined to play for England. :D

Looks like a bad injury too. Its a shame for him.

It was pretty clumsy fielding though, is he usually very good? If hes at 3rd man I am guessing not.

So England will go with 10 batsmen now.

Ed Joyce will now miss the rest of the game, what a real shame - it's not going to well for the debutants, (or nearly for Joyce, first 20/20 match :p), Bresnan bowled 3 wides, Joyce is now off, what will happen to Dalrymple?

That really is awful for Joyce, I feel so sorry for him! It sort of reminds me of Jones in Briasbane in 2002. From a team perspective though, will they bat with 10 men? the two teams shoudl be able to agree to allowing England a new batsman.

They will surely won't they, they have back-up and it'll most likely be Cook I think.

Collyflower ripping through the sri lankan batting order with 3-15 now. England can win this now after Sri lanka had a brilliant start.

Collingwood with 3-15! That beats his 2-8 best against the Aussies :p

Quite effective in 20/20 so far
