Australia's Tour Of India - 2008

There is a rumour on FoxSports News that Shane Warne might be heading over to India in the next couple of days, perhaps to make a return?

Keep an eye out folks.

Smarter money would be on him going over there to help out White or whoever is the main spin bowler for the 3rd test.

Get rid of Brad Haddin...that was the sort of lazy shot you see from tailenders!!...hes too old anyway...by the time he finds his feet at international level it'll be time to retire. Bring in Luke Ronchi!!!!:hpraise

looking forward to having Clark back next test hopefully

If you honestly think we should play Luke Ronchi, then theres no point for you discussing anything related to Australian Cricket. Hes a slogger who can keep, not a keeper who can bat which is what you need in a Test. He cant even bat ffs.

There is plenty of time of 3rd test Oct 29th Delhi-2 Nov,4th Test will be at nagpur 6th Nov,Aus will come definately hard and they will change their strateges, but still pressure will be there for Aus to come back and win a test match, for that they will have to seriously play very good cricket in all depts.Till then let Indian players enjoy a good win and Diwali.

great win for the indians. Poor effort by australia. The fact that India won by basically a whole innings is gonna be very good for their confidence in the next test. It is very hard to beat india in india but much to my hatred i think the indians will probably get up next test as well:(

I see it the complete opposite way. I can see us coming more harder and determined. We dont often stay down for long.

Finally CA is watching my posts and visiting planetcricket ;)

Why i feel ponting's going to lose patience and fire words at the media about incidents happened in the match.. Starting off with "India played well.. but, ........ (bringing and talking about the incidents happened)

No offence.. But, i feel he will do this after india wins the match. No offence, once again.
I sometimes feel rubbish posts like this one don't get pointed out often enough.

Hard to get much more gracious than that, but keep that sooky image you have of him if you want. As I said at the time, I would've expected an excuse-riddled reaction like that if it were India who lost, but not Australia.

I just had a silly thought that warney might be thinking to make a come back and rescue australia to it's pride. :p But, that's true! Maynot, or possibly....erk..

Rubbish? I just said i thought. Mind that you donkey fella. He didn't bark about the incidents now, maybe before the third test match. you cannot count on a person's words only for a day. Heh. It's rubbish that you directly saw the quote i did rather than the entire post. ALSO, I SAID THAT IN THE THIRD DAY OR SO, Did you know australia was going to lose so badly. Mindsets change in times of the things happening out there. The second innings of australia was dreadful. Who though they're going to lose, even till the day 5, your coach wasn't sick of losing in that match. He said there are five wickets remaining, and the next day, the result was different. Words do change quickly due to conditions. o, he had to speak up as a captain for their weak performances. If so, why did you quote my post now, why couldn't you do that on the day i posted it, heh? S Weheh, funny. Not flaming on you or something.

KBC, go back to the Graphics section. Nothing you ever post in here makes any sense or has any value. (y)

Australia need Clark back. They certainly missed his bowling in this last test, he's one of the best in the world at the minute, and it's amazing to me that his Test career didn't start until 2006. I suppose it's just another example of high quality Australian's struggling to make it into the team, look at Hussey, Haddin, and MacGill for example. It's a shame he's 33 really, if he was 28 he'd have a good few years left in him and could have proved himself to be one of the best of all-time, but at 33 now, he'll just be seen as a high class bowler who deserved more Test matches.

I quoted it at the time. Look a page or two after the post. I said Ponting wouldn't whinge after the match and he didn't, and I don't think it took a huge stretch of the imagination. I just think there is a common misconception that Ponting is a chronic complainer when he is actually a lot better in this regard than most.

They showed the difference between Australia's bowling attack in our last Indian tour and the one at the moment. McGrath, Warne, Gillespie, Kasprowicz back then. Lee, Siddle, Johnson, White now. Kasprowicz would've been the weak link back then, and he is better than all four of those who played in this Test. Australia's bowling stocks have been depleted a ridiculous amount, and that is why Clark couldn't crack the team until more recently - despite how good he might be, he still wouldn't crack the team we used to have.

Yeh, obviously McGrath and Warne > Clark. But personally I'd take Clark over Dizzy and Kaspa, although saying that, I've seen very little of either of them and the main time i've seen them was in 2005, where they were off the boil somewhat. Where Dizzy and Kaspa better than Stuart Clark's current level of performance?

Man we are so gonna get whomped by India if they carry on in this sort of form. The only thing I can hope for as an England fan is that India go off the boil like we did when we beat Australia.
