Australia's Tour Of India - 2008

Marsh's experience is twenty20. The hit, bash and get the quick 40. If his FC record was any good... i would've have rather seen Pomersbach. He performed really well in the IPL AND he has a good FC record. But yeah there's no doubt Marsh is a prospect. I've focused enough on Australia. Time for india

EDIT:
Indian 11
Sehwag
Badrinath
Dravid
Tendulkar
Laxman
Ganguly
Dhoni
H. Singh
Zaheer Khan
Mishra
Ishant Sharma

Yeah Badrinath is an experienced domestic campaigner. It really doesn't change the dynamics of the team. I'm tempted to thrust Ganguly up the order just for one last hurrah. Swap with tendulkar if India have gotten to a good start. But then again its a professional sport.

Good that Dhoni has announced so early that Vijay will be making his debut. Harsh on Badrinath, but good that an opener is replacing an opener. Its harsh on him, but if he is really that patient, he will soon get his chance. Normally these decisions are taken last minute but I see it as a positive that Dhoni doesnt want to keep the youngster nervously waiting to know if he is playing or not.

Come on Vijay! He is an unknown quantity, and that could work towards his favor. He also knows quite a few hours before the night of the game that he is making his debut. Mental preparation is good for any debutant, and he can make use of it. ALL THE VERY BEST TO HIM! Hope he can give a solid start (no need to match Gambhir).

I disagree there mate. Sledging is a mind game- tactis if you will- and cricket is a mind game all about tactics. Physical contact is just taking it too far. No need for it.

Its a mind game if it doesnt become harsh. But most of the time, sledging borders on the obscene (talking about your wives and your team mates d**k??).

No need to match Gambhir, looking at how confident he was in CT, I'm scared he's going to go for a daft attacking shot. It's all fine launching people over midwicket in Domestic cricket, but against Australia on Test debut, I hope he doesn't try anything stupid.

Quite logical IMO. Opener for Opener. With Badri we may have had to switch the line-up about, which may have casued a few problems...

With Badri you have two Dravid in side. Not good starategy against Aussies as they have number on Dravid.

Although every batsman has fired barring Dravid. So I expect 200 runs from Dravid in his In Laws home town. :p

Geez looks like we might be seeing a repeat of 01 where the BCCI field an illegal player resulting in the match canceled or forfeited. I hope it doesn't come to this though as I want to see us play not see the match canceled.

WHAT???? Who is that illegal player?

True! Its better having a rank newcomer who is an opener instead of putting guys in spots where they are not suited.

If India field Gambhir the match should be canceled and awarded to Australia. What ridiculous arrogance and stupidity.

One thing is for sure, if Watson had've done to Gambhir what Gambhir did to Watson then Gambhir would've been lying on his back unconscious.

Watson hasn't done weights since World Twenty20, he does Pilates and swimming now - the man you knew and loved is now a woman.

I kid, naturally...

I'm back, btw.

BCCI has gone insane with its money power

Its 99.99% certain that M. Vijay will play the last test. I dont think they will risk spoiling Ganguly's farewell and Laxman's 100th test.

I hope so as this series has been pretty good taking out some of the silly stuff a few players have done. And yea not the way India would want to farewell their fab 4.
