Australia's Tour Of India - 2008

Is Clark injured? He's Australia's best pace bowler, how can you drop him?

Seeing over 30 runs off the first 4 overs says to me that Australia are in for a tough day. I think they're going to lose to be honest. Aussies bowling is a shadow of the old days. If you had of told me White was going to be a 4th bowler a few years ago when McGrath, Warne, Gillespie, Lee, McGill, etc were all playing I would have fallen to the ground with laughter. This team won't get 20 wickets on a pitch like this. No hope. What a horrible team selection. The Aussie team totally lacks balance.

Who are the umpires for this game???

Aleem Dar and Billy Bowden, same as last game.

Pretty sure Clark was fit, the selectors felt the need to go with 2 spinners!
And trust me that is the worst lineup we can pick from our bowling depth.

Not good we missed a chance from Johnson through a slower ball. Not through the fault of our fielders just didn't carry.

India made a good start so far,the young man who is playing his 1st match is also playing well, ducking for bouncers, but i just feel that the pitch has good carry so far, aslo its coming on bat well, its not coming slowing after pitching,it has good bounce so far.

Vijay has looked good so far except the edge that did'nt carried through.(It was expected as LSK and Border were just praising his technique then.:p)

I used to say it jokularly, but it is actually official now. Tassie have a better bowling lineup than Australia. Hilfenhaus and Geeves are better than Lee and Johnson. Krezja struggled to get into the Tassie side, while McDonald has sealed his spot in the team with his recent 6fer. Then you have to decide who you prefer out of Denton and White, not a tricky one either. And considering they bat better than the Tassie batsmen, they would provide a fair bit of resistance in the lower order, so we wouldn't be losing that.

Stuart Clark better not be fit, or the selectors have a fair bit of explaining to do. He was the only bowler who Tassie do not have anyone better than.

Welcome to international cricket, Krejza! 4 and a 6 off consecutive balls from Sehwag!

Predictably superb start by India. Vijay almost has covered for the loss of Gambhir. We have a good partnership here which promises atleast a 100 which is more than what is expected of an opening pair on the first day. Vijay's technique looks very solid, and for a debutant playing on the first day, he is showing very good temperament so far.

On this pitch, I would be very angry if Rahul Dravid fails. Would be his time up if that happens. He has a century for the taking. Sachin, Saurav, Laxman, Dhoni all have hundreds for the taking. And TEST CRICKET IS SULKING!!! Pitches like these are not grt advertisement for tests. It doesnt look like a wicket that will crack up fast, and will be slow and low even if it turns.

Unfortunately the seaming early-season first class pitches in Australia are no comparison and the fact that so many of the state sides don't want to field their best spinner is really no help.

Krejza has bowled good, we just need a man at long mid-on to stop Sehwag and Vijay trying to hit down there. I missed the first 15 minutes is our bowling line-up

Lee
Johnson
Watson
Krejza
White

?

Watto!! Great ball there. Kept the seam up and banged it in at Vijays head. He's obviously hesitant to try pulling or hooking on debut. Johnson is pissing me off, still bowling across seam.

Awesome ball there. Got spin and the bounce Dravid didn't expect.

I'm just one innings way from winning my avvy challenge bet that Dravid wont score a ton all series, this will be the second time that I have successfully predicted that if he gets out for 99 or less next innings ;) I said it last summer and i'm saying it again - Dravid is past it, he's no good anymore!
