Rahane (or don't know who) made things tough for him by not slotting himself for the opener's position. The Indian middle order is going to be packed forever. I personally prefer a Rohit Sharma over Rahane because Rohit is more flashy and yet he has the technique and the patience for playing test cricket. And yes, his off spin could be handy.
Dhoni seems to be taking a dig at all the Jadeja detractors by saying that its very easy to criticise somebody and now we all are seeing how much Jadeja's absence affects the balance of the lineup. IMHO, India have played with 4 bowlers so often before. And India have never had good part time bowling options in tests. We used to have Sehwag, but he was never used properly by any captain. IMO, 4 bowlers (2 spinners + 2 pacers) should do the job against WI. And it should be Mishra and Ashwin for the spin.

Still remember the delivery which he got Moin Khan bowled, it was one of the classy deliveries for sure. Ofcourse, he is not going to be lively like those days but would prefer to see him bowling atleast a over in his last test.
Sachin has become such an addictive habit that its hard to think that he is going.
the focus is definitely going to be more on him. I can understand its a bit frustating from an outsiders point of view, but Indian fans would be happy to have the camera on Sachin the whole day.
