Australia's Tour Of India - 2008

WOW! Did'nt I miss out big time! Gone off to have a nice cold shower and coming back, turning on the TV and Aussies are 5 Down!:happy

EDIT: Some of the Mishra's leggies are turning from outside legstump to outside off-stump! Incredible.

None of the Jimmy Anderson praise was ever serious, until this past year. He took a 5fer against India, and took Sachin out a few times, but apart from that we were awful in that series. Most of the Jimmy praise is in jest, and because of his awesome hair. He'd be all over Australia if he bowls like he did this summer, they're not the best players of swing, proven in 2005, and Jimmy conventionally swings the ball both ways at good pace. He was all over McCullum when he was at his best, and also had Graeme Smith in all heaps of trouble.

England are a farrr better team now than what they were in that series. Prior couldn't catch the ball, the bowling (other than Sidey) was awful, Pietersen was out of form, Vaughan and Bell couldn't buy a run, Bopara looked out of depth, Harmison and Hoggard looked over the hill, and Vaughan's reign was nearing it's end. Under Pietersen we're more positive, we now have Flintoff and Harmison back firing, James Anderson has hit his straps, Broad bowled beautifully in the SA ODi series, Panesar is far better than any spinner knocking around the Australia team, and Prior's finally worked out how to catch the ball. We'll definitely give you Aussies a good game next year, and honestly I think we've got a tremendous chance to get revenge for the 5-0.

Yeah, saw that. It was so incredible that he was getting that much turn when he didnt actually hit the rough.

Clarke looking good, apart from that ridiculously small sweat-band, he needs to get a proper one tbh. He's playing the spinners well though, that boundary in this current over was very nice.

I'd choose Prior over Haddin any day
I wouldn't.

Remember that we had India in dire straits in the First Test. I'd like to see England get India into that position in India.

HA. You say that after seeing a few matches of Haddin. Mate, Haddin would have walked into the England team, and most teams 5 years ago. He was extremely unlucky to be around in the same era as Gilly.

Not at the moment. He's in terrible form right now.

Aussies look good against the spinners, I think India may need to bring Sharma and Khan on. Sharma is due for another spell.

Mate, you've read to much into this one bad test. Please stop talking England up so much about smashing us. Our pace bowling attack featuring Siddle, Johnson, Lee, Clark, Bollinger and the likes of Noffke and Hilfenhaus etc waiting in domestic cricket will be far more matured as a bowling team and individually when they reach England. You sound fair cocky and once we've finished our long summer with that attack I dearly want to see if you are saying the same.

Spinners? McGain (old), Casson (argueable about what you think of him), Cullen, White (Thinks spinning the ball into the right hander is leg spin ;)), Clarkey and David Hussey can bowl some spin if called up. Not convincing, but if they can take a few of the Indian wickets I think they can do the job in England.

Our batting line-up is immense. Katich, Hayden and Jaques are all capable openers who have had success in international cricket. Rogers is a back up. Ponting, Clarke and Hussey is a devistating Middle order with lower order players who can bat such as White and Haddin. There are amazing players waiting in domestic cricket such as Noffke for one who got 51 wickets in 10 games and scored 700 runs last season and David Hussey who is simply one of the best players to play in our domestic system for seasons imo.

Yes, I did leave out Watson in hope he wont be selected.

Feelin Blue? added 1 Minutes and 37 Seconds later...

Not at the moment. He's in terrible form right now.

Cut him some slack, its only like his 5th test match since breaking into the squad.

Yet you're still getting destroyed by India.

I'm just saying we have a busy schedule before we come over to play you. Our bowling attack will be much much more experienced when we are finished playing South Africa at home and away then the Kiwis in ODI's etc.
