Australia's Tour Of India - 2008

This is precisely why it is called test cricket, it can be boring, exciting but always fascinating it is like life, emotions changes every hour, every session, every day this test match is a testimony of it.

And that why I love it, but when teams start bowling wide balls which in ODI cricket would be called wides preventing batsmen from playing shots why shouldn't it be called wides? By all means set your 8-1 fields but bowl it within the bounds of the ODI wide laws. What so wrong about that?

Bhajji on 49 :happy

Lead is 360

the Turbanator has Proved that Nothing is impossible, His contribution of 49 came at a crucial state and at a very much needed situation:cool:

You can't really introduce strict rules when it comes to strategy, though. If anything, the ICC need to prevent captains like Ricky Ponting from getting away with such poor over rate.

It's not acceptable for bad over-rates in any circumstance, I agree. I remember a handful of occasions Ponting has had slow over-rates.

When I think about other test captains, Fleming, Vaughan, etc, I don't remember many occasions where they were ever behind on overs. Ponting is a repeat offender.

Finally we start attacking and a wicket has come that of Dhoni. Krejza finally gets Dhoni via his shoe the same way he almost had him in the first inns.

Dhoni out :( Great catch there by Hussey good sharp eyes and one of the best catch in the series :clap

Seriously Australia were in a good position because of Krejza. The guy has got a big heart. Well done to him. The selectors were idiots not putting him the 2nd or 3rd test match.

I don't understand why Katich can't bowl. If he wants to increase the overrates well there's one good spinner.

Lee better perform in the next game (NZ?).

common mate give bowlers something, its not that bowling outside off consistently is easy.

There are so many times bowlers & captain set the batsman with this 8-1 field.
Also odis are 50 over game each side and test match has 450 over between them, batsmen get many opportunities to score.

One should commend bowlers to bowl such line continuously, margin of error is minimal or to say none whatsover,

I am not saying this because india has done it successfully, infact australia is a master of such tactics, even australian players have resorted to such tactics in the last series here in india which they one obviously, however they failed to do so this time

Poor Krejza looks like he will take the West Indians other record for most runs conceded on Test match debut.

Oh well at least he got wickets and gave Australia a chance. He's only 2 wickets behind Johnson, the leading wicket taker, which shows the ineptude of Australian selectors as well as how poorly the Aussies have bowled. Bit of a shambles really.

Dhoni should declare the innings and pick atleast 2 wickets before stumps.
