I hosted a classic mafia a while ago, I can't really remember who played that game. But doc died n1 so strategy kind of went out the window.

The only reason I could think why the cop isn't character claiming would be he investigated someone who turned out to be a townie or he must be thinking he'd get killed the next night. I'd say the cop should cc, things would be a lot clear. Firstly the doc would know who he is supposed to save and secondly the cop can give us a clear picture about the one who he investigated on Night 0.

OK I am willing to sacrifice myself if need be to save myself from getting any more bored.

I am the cop. Investigated yashdude night 0 and he came up as town.

That's about all I know.

Simon - He seems to be playing safe, just pointing out the obvious points.

hedger_14 - The way he got frustrated and named this game boring sounds to me he isn't really having any important role in the game, probably a vanilla.
Abhas - He's active just like the previous game when he was a mafia alongside me. Not much read about him.
User2010 - Don't know why but I think he's a mafia, just my gut feeling.
Sulaiman7 - Got to be a townie.

User isn't a bad person to go after, he has been suspiciously inactive and not as helpful as usual. Simon is another one I would like to go after, you can't be let off for posting as little as he is.

What should be convincing is how I much I was asking hedger to clarify his stance, as I wanted to see why I should claim. It should be clear that I was in a way soft claiming there. I was ready to claim right then and there but wasn't fully convinced so waited a bit. When yashdude, the only 100% confirmed townie said the cop should come out, I decided let's get this game moving and claimed.

Hedger is always bored with the game. He said the same thing last game too. I wonder why he plays Mafia sometimes.
